I believe thats right, but all the damn trees and shit making it hard to see monsters for me and some of the altars get lodged against the terrain and when it has frost laser beams or whatever its hard to avoid for me.
feels easier to do the altars in the burial chambers and see monsters against the dark ground instead of the forest colored. was looting in jungle valley earlier and a straggler came out of nowhere and whacked me.

This +proj on abyss maps is kinda retarded. Although I'm dieing more in T7 then I was doing legion in T16 Burial Chambers. I think I need Oriaths end. Then again I'm running 2 ventors and Goldwyrm. But I might have to drop a Conundrum in favor or Oriaths because explody really carries through this Abyss shit.

Is anyone else really seeing a decline in loot for expedition farming this league? T14 alched maps and I am not even getting a single artifact per map, much less a logbook.

Anyone above a room temperature IQ is swimming in cash this league. The biggest chase items have never been more accessible. You could grind out a mageblood in a couple days just being a hideout warrior and rolling sextants at the current prices.
Hell bossing is fucking incredibly profitable currently cause so many fucking meta chasers won't do anything but farm cemetery. Unid watchers eyes are pushing up towards 8 divines - you could bankroll any build you wanted to just grinding out elders/uber elders.

The previous league with reintroduced Sanctum plus TotA was worse economically. Each of those mechanics put a bunch of raw currency in the system and not much else. These mapping strats dump a mountain of shit in to the game keeping prices on a lot of stuff down while creating opportunities for people doing other content to turn their wares in to real money. You could also be the kind of guy that was selling picks and shovels during the California gold rush and sell juicing components to juicers.

you've dropped some Awakened Sextants right? and you have at least one or two voidstones, from killing eater of worlds or searing exarch?
If so, you just use a sextant on a voidstone, and it gives whatever the next 4 maps you do X effect. from kirac, you can buy a compass (costs 1c) to save & itemize that "X effect for the next 4 maps" to sell to other people.
Some of the X effects sell for far more than 1c, and so if you make and sell them in bulk, you can eventually make a profit. This guy did it so much he made 150+ divines worth.
It's like selling raid flasks in WoW.

Reminds me of maxing out tradeskills in early EQ, where you had to shift click 1 item at a time and some recipes were the full 8 slots. Guessing he had to have macro'd a lot of that

I won't lie, this meta farming is actually kinda fun. Then again, I don't usually follow the meta whatsoever in PoE so this is new to me.
I still haven't had a valuable explosion yet, but I've had un-valuable explosions so I just need to keep at it and up my quantity/quality game a bit. Conundrum flask engage.

Ya the map farmers push everything up in value. I hate farming maps myself but just boss rushing guardian maps and doing elder is mad product because all the fragments and shit like un id watchers eyes are like double the usual price. There’s lots of strategies that work, I was even breachlord farming and doing the hidden for a while, and made a buncha money cuz maven writs are almost 2 divine for some reason, maybe more now. It’s almost impossible not to make a ton of money this league. I’d say sanctum enjoyers are probably the most screwed
