I put almost 80 hours into the other pathfinder when it was a released buggy piece of shit (and never finished it because you couldn't at the time afaik). Hopefully they learned their lesson, but I won't buy day 1 again ;O
so if this game is gonna have a lot of big army battles with I assume the main character, I guess one is going to have to go with a teamwork based MC for power play, and again put lots of points into persuasion.
i can't seem to find where to actually get beta access. like i see where you can buy the digital downloads of the game, but according to the comments on that site, that does NOT include beta access.
one of the comments says to go to buy one of the tiers that has access to the beta, but i can't seem to find any of that info... =(
edit: oh lord. it's $100 for early access. sure it comes with a bunch of collectables but yeah no, i'm good

It's there in the options.
Timestamped from options
I see now they removed their additional purchase for alpha access that used to be $15 leaving only the $114 one. That's way too much. Odd, was only a few days ago when they used to have the $15 option for alpha/early access under the "add more items to your bundle" tab.
Not sure why they did that. I think a lot more people would get the $30-45 + $15 if they could. The $15 would basically be free money for them since it wouldn't include anything except paying for beta. Not like it's an online game where they need to limit the number of people for server reasons.
I can upgrade for $69 for "early access"... yeah, I guess I'm playing another round of Kingmaker then. On one hand, after watching some of Cohh's videos of him playing, it really does make me itch to play it. On the other hand the Kingmaker launch was a buggy mess, so I am waiting patiently until release.
He getting asked what "Heroes of Might and Magic" was made me chuckle at first, then I realized that the first one came out in '95. Games that I kept as "old" in my mind are things like "Lord of Midnight". Now I feel really fucking old.
Godamn I’m loving this game. Granted it’s pricey as hell but damn good. Combat, character development and story is really good. I barely scratched the game (probably around 9 hours played) and I’m enjoying it more than I did Baldur’s Gate 3. Baldur’s Gate is a beautiful games and has the Forgotten Relams lore which draws me to it but something about Pathfinder just captures the paper and pen feeling better than BG3. Like my friend said he compared them to AARPGS. BG3 is like Diablo 3, simplified and looks very good. Pathfinder is like Path of Exile that is very in depth and has a big learning curve.
Game has many mythic paths you can choose. There’s one where you can become a Lich, raise and command an army of undead to do your biddings. There is another where you can either become an angel or a demon. I already will see myself putting in tons of hours into this game. Between this, Solasta and BG3 (hopefully this year) will be great year for CRPGs.

Currently, it looks like you get mythic levels at predetermined points in the game. Works as such:
The first and second levels are a try before you buy type thing, with an OP mythic talent choice (same pool for all paths) at each level, a once a day 1 minute summon from the various paths, and some other 3 times a day power (not that important, but a nice bonus).
The third level makes you pick between 6 paths to get all the super OP abilities, this is set for at least the next 6 level. These are called Aeon (Law), Angel (Good), Azata (Chaotic Good), Demon (Evil), Lich (Evil), Trickster (Chaotic).
The 8th level looks like it will allow you to pick a new path (currently, it pulls up the screen to pick a new path, but only your current path is available), if you have found Swarm-that-Walks, Dragon, or any other end game ones they decided to add.
Here are SS for examples:
First Mythic level choice (the level shown at the top right is the test toons level, it will probably be fixed later):
At level 3 this screen allows you to pick one of these, if you have them unlocked (Angel and Demon is unlocked from the start, the others are found in chapter 1 & 2 (this choice comes at the end of chapter 2)):
Here are more screenshots of things as well as most/all of the abilities specific to each of the mythic paths. They are organized by the path, 10 screenshots per post, so it's a rather long line of posts to get them all.
All party members get access to Mythic Abilities and Talents
