10-15 pound Jack Russell took a big bite out of my leg. Thankfully it had its rabies shots or I would be getting a big needle in the stomach or whatever. Dog bites are no joke though my life was never threatened.

Cats are the best when there's one in a house full of dogs. Then they tend to act like small deformed dogs.

True story, I've had more cats that played fetch than dogs, and I've had 4-5 times more dogs.

You can also decapitate the dog and send the head in to have it tested. I'd do that way before taking those 20 shots to the gut from 10" needles. (Note I don't know if it's really 20 shots, I think someone described it to me once, and in my memory, it might have grown a little)

I got bit by an unvaccinated cat once, ironically as I was carrying it to to be vaccinated. Instead of chopping its head off we just gave it back to the shelter to go into isolation for 10 days. I got a deep tissue infection for my troubles, middle finger swelled up to almost triple size and i could barely use the hand.

How could you be afraid of a specific disease like tetanus or rabies? You'd need to have had terrifying experiences with it as a child, right? I could see being afraid of Dysentery because of you repainted the bathroom with explosive diarhea once.

Isn't Lendarios from Central America originally, or was that someone else? If you'd ever seen someone die of Tetanus you'd be terrified of it too. I've just read about it in books and it sends chills down my spine. But yeah if you've lived in the US your whole life I can't imagine you've ever seen someone die from tetanus or rabies.

Yeah but you're supposed to get a booster every 10 years right? Think I was 24 when that cat bit me so I'll be at the 10 year mark in April.
