What faction do you play for on Waterson? If so you can try out my fully loaded VS or TR mario karts.

For TR always use vulcan for armor and the marauder for infantry. For VS use the Saron for everything. The king of the harasser right now on Waterson is Mercid. He uses the marauder extensively and can get that thing in the most abusived positions possible.

I'm on TR on Waterson with the RR guys ARGO outfit, however, I've been spending more time on VS Connery lately.

Rolled as TR on materson, just got a computer that can run this.

Started playing engi (since i read here its a good way to make easy upgrade points starting out) and a bit confused beyond i can heal armored to get cert points.

Would love to join an outfit to play support and learn how to play this better

Make sure you have an ammo clip deployed AT ALL TIMES to get that passive exp. In many cases it'll be even faster exp than running around repairing mechs/tanks/turrets (but you should be doing both). If you press B while having selected your stationary machine gun (option 5) you'll toggle to ANOTHER ammo clip, so you can replace the other one in the utility slot as you get points to spend. I dig the anti-personal mine - helpful for keeping Infiltrators off you when you're in a turret.

Yeah repair armor, repair base turrets, repair max's etc. Helps if you drive a tank since you can repair your own stuff.

If you aren't digging vehicles try medic.

Yeah got a bit more of a handle on the game now. Getting close to getting utility belt, got 1 antipersonel mine, got repair gun to 3.

is that enough or should i push more into the engi tree to get greater cert farming

Not sure what ill pick next, digging lightning good combo with engi. But main thing first i guess is minmaxing my cert farming setup while i think of what i want to do with points rolling in

I'd push engi/medic until you get at least until you have enough certs to get a few other classes partially unlocked, you're still not gonna get as many certs with any other classes. I would play around with others and see what you like though.

Liking the engi/lightning combo, bought myself 2.5k points, went with lightning bundle for air gun and anti armor gun, took the 77 sniper for when i wanna have fun playing in the hills, and also got a lynx for my engi.

Took a double xp boost, im down to 1.5k

Any suggestions on where to put what i have left? im thinking putting it all in xp bonuses, unless u guys suggest me something else

Magrider bundle, Harasser bundle are pretty good. Especially if you have gunners. You generally want to sit on SC unless an item is on sale or if you're getting a bundle. You might want to have a boost or two when they do double exp weekend (the exp bonuses stack).

Theres a pretty decent infantry weapon bundle too, the one with like 7 or 8 weapons (not the 4 weapon one).

Just getting back into this now that my pc won't crash after 20mins of play. Some of the best "holy hell" moments in this game. When your zerg jacks a base and you foot it to the next and it feels like the rest of the server is opposite you, tracers, rpgs, tank rounds to the left and right, man it's awesome. I haven't played a fps in sometime so...everything that's within arms reach of my computer and his throwable, has been thrown. Wonder what my neighbors think with the intermittent "Aww fuck off!" every 5 minutes.

PS, the new layout of The Crown blows, I used to spend all my previous time there before they spread out the points.

JaisTR and JaisNC on...Waterson I think.

I saw Smedley tweet about the whole team is now working on optimization, he said something about the shape of the game being unacceptable.

Started screwing around on my TR guy again today and I forgot how nice it gets once you get a lot of unlocks.

I'm still really puzzled by some of the things that happen. Like sometimes my hits just don't register, and other times (very rarely) I wade into 5 people come out without a scratch. It's like the server skips or batches updates sometimes. Really super annoying for launched grenades.

Or firing a bit, then running back inside a shield or around the wall only to have enemy bullets come flying through and kill you anyway.

Maybe this optimization pass will fix it. Would also like to see cone-of-fire stuff moved server side to help with the hacks a bit.

My computer should be more than capable of playing this game on something higher than low settings. I turned everything down except for render quality and it's still pretty fucky.

Not the most annoying thing, but damn close. Can't count the numbers of times I've died while I (according to my screen) should have been safe.

Yup. That's your lag + the enemies lag. With my shitty internet, I've died behind cover countless times.

In other news, upcoming patch will be changing flak armor for the better. Even direct hits with my cheese grenade launcher won't 1 hit kill. May be time to try a real weapon for a change QQ
