Expanding on my previous, anyone on Waterson TR side who can give any recommendations as to which Outfits are pretty solid and or which to avoid as I start shopping around?
I don't have too much experience with Waterson TR as I tend to just play with NUC in ops and fly outside of ops with friends.
ODAM - Stay away. This is the large zerg outfit on TR and they consist mainly of bad new players. Most ofmy deaths from teamtates outside of battles comes from ODAM.
I'd say check out Quiet Professionals (QPRO) or Imperial Reach (IR). I know we have some members who use to be from IR and I have never heard anybody say anything negative about them. Happy Penguin (LIBZ) is the casual outfit community we are starting for NUC. HP is where all the Liberator players on Waterson are from and lots of ESF pilots too. Being in HP has the benefit of palying with NUC on off nights during OPS. (TRAF) is a zerg guild that is 100x better than ODAM so that might be your best bet if you aren't a great FPS player.
The biggest benefit playing with the "HAVES" in PS2 is people can pull you fully loaded vehicles at whim. This way you can see the difference a fully loaded vehicle is like. This hooks people. It doubles up as an easier way to generate certs, which again lets you play with more toys in PS2.
Protip: First vehicle should be the Harasser. The thing is a beast and IMHO its the only viable competitive ground vehicle currently in the game. It can kill infantry and tanks equally, and its just down right FUN. The Harasser is what I was dreaming about when BUNGIE released the very first HALO trailer back in 1998 or 1999. If you pickup the harasser, use the Marauder or Vulcan. Ideally you want compostive armor MAXED, Surger frame (it really helps with sneaking/crawling into normally inaccessible areas), and afterburner (because its so fun).
If I'm in game, feel free to ask for a fully loaded harasser. Names Exc1d1umTR. Can also pull fully loaded ESFs (both scythes and mossies). I also pull Fully loaded Liberators for people, but since thats my primary gameplay style, I must make sure I have mine off cooldown when I'm in farm mode.
