Connery has the highest population, barely beating out Mattherson. It is a west coast server so there are some Japanese players during the weird hours. (Most of them are VS. The Chinese went TR, so Japan went VS because they wanted to shoot the crap out of each other. Then China got their own servers).

Mattherson is the highest pop east coast server.

A lot of us that post here play on VS Connery. My name is Bacontech if you want to add me.

Edit: Connery: Good mix of outfits both competitive and casual. Mattherson is much the same.

Waterson TR is dominant because they've always had a huge population (TotalBiscuit joined Waterson TR and his followers bloated the pop). Once Waterson and Jaeger were merged the TR became even deadlier because Jaeger TR were quite organized. Currently TR are still dominant because of population and NUC recruiting everyone to their outfit for MLG.

Waterson pop is now a lot more even during prime time than it was a few months ago. Now a days it's mostly an even 33% split on Indar.

Huh, so there is a cert cap and it's 10,000. Good to know! Any recommendations on what to spend it on for the TR side?

Dunno if you have a Engineer AV turret, but those are awesome for sniping anything at extreme ranges if you find a good spot.

If you engineer often, prox/tank/C4 is also awesome. Add the explosives suit and you can carry either 2 Prox Mines, 4x Tank Mines, or 3xC4.

If you have the C4, you can also get a Wraith Cloak for the Flash as an Infiltrator. One of my fav things to do is plant 3xC4 on a Flash as an engy, switch to Infiltrator, cloak up, drive to an enemy sunderer, jump out and shoot the C4. Dead Sundy.

If you like to Max but often play solo, autorepair is pretty awesome. The other suit that lowers explosive damage is good as well if you have a pocket engy.

As for TR, idk I play vanu. Fuck TR strikers.

Striker still annoys you guys? It's pretty gimp DPS wise now, it's actually more damage now to just use Annihilator as you don't have to maintain lock the entire time like you do the striker.

Striker is superior with coordinated fire from multiple players. Its the best AV Weapon in the game if used properly.

I havent been playing as much the last couple of months due to other games, but just felt like letting everyone know that imo customer service for PS2 is really good. I've had an issue with buying an item that wasnt credited to all characters months ago, I wrote a ticket and it was fixed within a day with friendly and helpful messages from the CS person. Yesterday I read about the anniversary decal they recently gave out and that for some reason apparently not all accounts got the right one. According the mail its only for 1 character too (stupid, maybe they reconsidered). Anyway I checked my chars and didnt have the decal, then wrote a ticket (before going to bed, euro). In the morning I had a confirmation that they are looking into it that acknowledged the relevant information i mentioned in the ticket, and this afternoon, less then 20h after the ticket, I had the closure e-mail saying they checked the situation and credited the correct decal to all my characters. Just one incident really (well, two) but personally I feel like I'm getting good service for a free game.

Awesome, I may have to start playing again now that VS Max ZOE nerf is at least on test. God those things ruined good engagements..

I think it should give a damage buff *or* a movement buff, not both. I tried my TR lockdown max, I really did, but there's almost no situation where it's a good idea.

Just so you guys have the real data on the movement before the patch notes come out. This is all in m/s and subject to change based on more tuning before it goes live, of course.
Normal Infantry:
Forward run: 4.0
Forward sprint: 6.5
Strafe / backpedal: 3.0

Normal MAX:
Forward run: 3.0
Forward Sprint 6.0 (with 5 second acceleration)
Strafe / backpedal: 2.1

(Old) ZOE MAX:
Forward run: 5.5
Forward Sprint: 6.5
Strafe / backpedal: 4.455

(Revised)ZOE MAX:
Forward run: 4.5
Forward sprint: 6.0
Strafe / backpedal: 3.0.

So, the ZOE represents a ~50% buff to the "armed" (i.e. not sprint, which removes your ability to fire) movement states on the MAX above the default, DEFINITELY NOT "no bonus" and gives is closer to infantry agility, rather than significantly more. Sprinting infantry should now be able to outrun and evade the ZOE which was a major problem when attempting to disengage from them previously, but it will still be faster than normal infantry.
Like anything else, this is still subject to tuning and the more people we can get to jump on to test server and give us feedback and data to tune off of the better! We will be on at 5pm PST today, so please join us if you want to help make a better balanced game!

Nostradamus also predicts Vanguard Shield, Harasser maneuverability, and Prowler velocity all getting slightly nerfed with the magrider getting "tweaked".

Harasser is just a bullshit vehicle anyway. I run around as a Heavy mostly because I'm in love with my sniping weapon er missile launcher, and Harasser's are just too damn hard to kill because they move so damn fast. If you use a lock-on launcher, you'll still rarely hit them because they can turn far faster than the missile can. They also regen too damn fast. Harasser's and shotguns are my biggest gripes atm.

I agree with the harasser quip. I run solo in mine so I'm not annoying like those 3/3 harassers with halberd (ie almost unkillable now that mines are broke). But even by myself my little buggy survives when it shouldn't. Two rockets should kill a dune buggy :p

2 UBL hits you don't die on a heavy on the chest with flak. So UBL huge nerf too. Flak armor is the way of the future.

I haven't been playing much lately but I've been messing about with super high resolutions and downsampling and dang. I already knew this game was beautiful but I never really pay attention to any of the scenery. Having a computer that can run this game past 15 fps on medium is awesome.

The AA launcher arc nerf/fix/whatever really killed my desire to play and not logged in in a few weeks.
