I listened to the Girl on Guy podcast with Aisha Tyler. She met up with Dan Hay (Director of Far Cry 4) while at E3 this year. It was a fun listen. It makes me want to play all of the Far Cry games as I previously never have touched them.

I enjoyed all the far cry games except the last one. Got to the crazy shaman lady scene and just couldn't do it. Enjoyed the combat even if the ai was borderline retarded but the rest off the game just didn't do it for me.

It's a huge step down in plot... the side missions should have been capped at like 5 or so maximum per run, ecouraging both future playthroughs and allowing ACTUAL changes in plot via decisions. Spending presumably months doing odd favors for each and every crew member is so contrived as to be ridiculous, and takes away from any sense of urgency that SHOULD be in the game.

The worst part about ME series is that NOTHING YOU DO CHANGES ANYTHING.

i've always loved ME due to the immersion, get carried away by the setting and story. I imagine most guy gamers are in one of two camps, either they love D&D and are big EQ/Elder Scrolls/LOTR guys, or they are scifi guys and love ME/Star Trek/Star Wars. Yeah some crossover between the two but usually you definitely like one over the other. I get bored in Skyrim/LOTR, but loved Mass Effect or even Old Republic.

new PS+ rotation next week, plus The Last Of Us remastered end of july. Looks like new retail price on that is gonna be $50, which is nice

I'd disagree 110% on the plot being a "step down" in ME2 - I don't think too many people would agree with you that the plot was better in ME1.

Yes it sucks that the ending of the trilogy sucked, but that doesn't make all the plot points along the way irrelevant. I wonder how you'd speak of ME2 back before ME3 had even released...

I and all my friends would easily side with ME1 Saren/Sovereign plot over the ME2 collector/Cerberus plot.

With that said ME2 stepped it up in many ways so it's hard for me to pick between the two. ME1 gives you that mysterious universe something is out there feeling while Me2 makes you feel more important.


Both placed in my top 10 games of all time if I had too.

I might just for the sake of getting 100% on it get the DLC if it's priced reasonably once I've got it again from PS+ and that basically requires co-op for sure - not sure overall if I'll want to play the original story much though.

btw Diablo plat is a pain in the fucking ass. Not really hard just extremely everquest levels of grindy. Well Hardcore can be hard if you don't pay attention.
