Anyone have any experience with these? My 16 year old border collie is really struggling with my hard floors. He does much better outdoors or even on the deck where there's some traction. This looks like total bullshit to me, but if it could be of some help to him it would be worth the $40. I don't want to spend it on bullshit though. Any thoughts?

Man that looks kinda bullshit to me and uncomfortable. We tried those socks for our dog and he kept doing the moonwalk and hates anything on his paws. Can you just buy a cheap runner or rug for the areas the dog uses a lot?

I don't have experience with those, but I've tried the ones for cats because way back in the day the pound freaked the fuck out when I said I was going to get the cat I was about to adopt declawed. So I went along with it for a month and put these little rubber sleeves on her claws. She was actually a total sweetheart and didn't maul me while I was doing it, and they were definitely on there securely. However, she chewed them all off within a day, and I even found some in her poop, so I didn't want her dying from that bullshit and gave up on them.

Those look even bulkier and less secure than the ones for cats. I like how it says "Your dog won't chew them off." Bitch, have you ever actually met a dog? Or a cat? They will chew whatever they fucking want, particularly something that makes them feel uncomfortable literally every time they move. Those look like a recipe for an impacted colon in a dog, and I'd be really cautious of them. I am sure someone, somewhere has a dog that is so well trained, or so given up on life, that they won't chew on them. But a normal dog? Let's just say I'm skeptical.

Old wives tale maybe but grandma used to sprinkle black pepper lightly and on curtains and furniture she wanted the hound dogs and the beagles to not chew.

Thought about some area rugs or carpet runner? Our doggo doesn't like hardwood, and when we got the fence put up, we put some carpet runners down in the kitchen and dining room so that he can navigate the hardwood to the back door.

There are sticky pads you can put on the pads of their paws, and there are socks. The Shepherd hated the socks on her front paws, but she was fine with them on her back. The problem with the socks is that it's almost impossible to tighten them enough that they stay on without making them so tight they cut off the blood flow and swell up their paws. The problem with the sticky pads is they're kind of expensive and don't last more than a couple days

The only thing I didn't try was those, but obviously only works if the dog has enough nails for them to work, so I was sketchy on that to begin with. There's not really a good solution as far as that stuff goes, and I would honestly just get some cheap rugs or runners. That's what I did for the stairs after her fall, and it gave her just enough grip to keep going.

I still bought and tried all that shit, and would absolutely do it again for the right dog. Anything that works for even a day or 2 is worth the expense for your best old friend.

Before the carpet runners on the stairs she often thought long and hard about going up and if it was worth it.
