Araysar Araysar I need an explination right now. I'm watching Predator for the first time in like 20 years, and the people I thought were viet congs speak a spanish/russian gibberish. I feel like I missed out on something here. Are they speaking some russian tongue in this movie. I'm close to understanding the words, but wtf, I thought they were asians. Predator is blowing my mind right now.

Bro, I am a Predator expert. The first movie takes place in a fictional country of Val Verde which is a stand-in for Nicaragua/El-Salvador, etc. When Dutch and his team raid the guerilla camp in the beginning of the movie, that is supposed to be Latin American guerillas and their Soviet military advisors. Hence why you hear Spanish and Russian
