So you are saying you believe in "legitimate rape" then? People get pregnant all the time even in warzones and refugee camps. They get raped and get pregnant even when they can't look in a mirror without puking because they are so reviled by the site of themselves after that trauma. Still pregnant. Stress in a bedroom about grandma complaining she has no great-grandkids is not causing it alone.
Just stop worrying and it will happen isn't the right way to approach it, neither is stress being any cause.Says its extremely variant. Your whole "knowing shit and checking gauges" thing isn't really the type of stress that impacts it. The studies do say it has to be extreme - the example I gave was hyperbole but normal healthy amounts of stress won't do anything is my point. If you're like extremely wound up about it (and thus much beyond 'checking gauges') then yes, extreme stress can have impact. Checking gauges=not extreme stress. Worry=not extreme stress.
Do you pregnant? The whole "just stop worrying and it will happen" is a whole lot of bullshit. As someone with lots of friends who have had IF issues (including MFI - as in the problem is you all with the penises), hearing people say shit like this is extremely heartbreaking and just plain untrue the overwhelming majority of the time. Very insensitive.
Really awesome pamphlets and some good information in them sure. Where is the science though? Where is the citation to an actual scientific study proving that. They started off citing two numbers and I was so excited but alas then it was all just soft science.
So wait - you take an extreme position, I say no, that's quite untrue, and now you call me out for being wrong because YOU were the one who posted incorrect info? Heh no princess, not gonna work.Says its extremely variant. Your whole "knowing shit and checking gauges" thing isn't really the type of stress that impacts it. Are you mentally fucking retarded? How you went from what I and the article said to "stress prevents all pregnancies" boggles my mind.So you are saying you believe in "legitimate rape" then? You linked a WebMD article, no I didn't read it.So wait - you take an extreme position, I say no, that's quite untrue, and now you call me out for being wrong because YOU were the one who posted incorrect info? Heh no princess, not gonna work.

No. I gave an example of the type of gravity of stress needed to impact fertility. You were reducing it to "well if you try and look under the hood that's counterproductive". Which is stupid bullshit that as a_skeleton_03 and no doubt others on this board know first hand have said that needs to stop being perpetuated. Same with the 'stress causes miscarriage' crap. You have to be talking about extreme levels of the stuff. Further its counterproductive - even if you were right (which as we've established you aren't) what exactly do you think telling someone "stress will make it worse" is going to achieve? Its going to induce guilt and more stress in the mother. "Oh by all means since you said stop worrying about it let me stop right fucking now." You said something which I consider to be very insensitive to those struggling with IF - lashing out and changing the goal posts of your initial argument isn't saved by the fact that my particular example was an extreme one - when the level of stress required for your theory to be true is actually extreme. I'm sorry that it took you guys 2 years to conceive but it wasn't anything she or you did wrong by 'worrying' about it - your RNG was just particularly unkind or you had an underlying IF issue that eventually the RNG beat. Or you weren't hitting the fertility window (operator error is extremely common and is not something to beat yourself up over either - there really is a lack of information about trying to conceive - if you guys were temping and charting for 2 years and hitting every other day in the fertility window then that would be considered 2 years of perfect TTC in which it really was RNG fuckery). I simply am not going to shit on people who have trouble trying to conceive. You can take a different path if you choose. So wait - you take an extreme position, I say no, that's quite untrue, and now you call me out for being wrong because YOU were the one who posted incorrect info? Yeah its really weird saying 'my son'.So two months to go for my first daughter to be born and yesterday i actually typed those words for the first time into a text. "my daughter" it was a nice realization.
Gamblers fallacy!!I imagine the chance that happens approaches 1.
