Basically sounds like they're taking the AVP comic book series, but removing the aliens, and I guess now you're just going to have the sympathetic Predator leader who gets ousted by the younger predators. Over what I don't know. The comic was great because it was the Japanese chick that teams up with the wounded Chief predator to defeat the Alien Hive, she ends up surviving and he dies but brands her as a predator, and there's another wonderful series that takes place after that.

2025 will see the release of Predator: Badlands (as well as another film in the franchise that he shot simultaneously in secret), which isn’t exactly a follow-up to Prey but a future-set tale taking place on an alien planet. And, most importantly, it brings a very different kind of Predator protagonist: the Predator itself.
“The creature is front and centre, leading the charge,” Trachtenberg grins, speaking to Empire in the Andor Season 2 issue. “He’s still badass, but there’s something there that touches you emotionally, too. Creating a character you connect with, but are also super-intimidated by, has been challenging. But exciting.” The idea, he says, came from a desire to “find another essential piece of cinema that does what Prey did spiritually — pushing the franchise’s boundaries, letting us root for a hero we rarely get to root for — but in a different way. And that transformed into this big idea of rooting for the Predator.” Finally, the ugly mother-effer’s day has come.
While audiences will be asked to empathise with Badlands’ dreadlocked hunter, there will be humans in the mix too – notably Elle Fanning, who will play more than one character. “She faced intense challenges on this movie — dramatically, physically, logistically,” Trachtenberg teases. A Predator lead and multiple Elle Fannings? Get us to the chopper, asap!

Fuck these people. I still haven't seen Prey and I probably never will, but I did watch predators for a second or third time not long ago, and that's at least respectful to the source material.

Saw this thread bumped and realized I never actually watched this. Was pretty boring. The Predator v Bear fight was cool, but not as good as Leo v Bear. Girl just stumbles around from place to place while everyone around her gets slaughtered and then outsmarts Predator at the end. Yay.

I'm assuming this is a response to my post, but the predator is literally the head of the clan that was going down to some colony planet, I'm shenanigans happen, and he ends up having a team up with the Japanese chick to defeat the alien infestation.
If you don't want to be gay about it, you got to spend the time to watch this, I know it's a length of a movie but I guarantee you it's probably better than this new retarded ass film
