I'd argue while there probably is some bad elements, overall P99 is probably run more fairly than the LIVE servers. I was in the rat race back in 99-01.
I'm enjoying the heck out of my time there, and while I think the raid scene on P99 is terrible, that's mainly due to EQ's design and not some nefarious plot.
I'm really hopeful the next maintenance will announce Velious is released, or at least on the horizon.

The funny thing is, Rogean's probably making more money than you off of his IRL job AND runs a hobbyist pixel server.

As far as I am aware, Rogean has been paying out of his pocket for a majority of the hardware. The donations he get pay maybe 1/8th of the bill. They are also, simply that, 'donations'. There is no RMT conspiracy that the management has ever been involved in beyond stopping it. His whistle is clean, the people under him in terms of power? No comment as I don't know a majority of the new GMs/guides at all, but I can say without a doubt that he's gone through a lot of people that try and undermine his server and that's where it gets a bad reputation from.
If someone can find evidence against this, by all means, post it.
Otherwise you're simply talking out of your ass. I have yet to find evidence that the staff has done any wrong at a management level beyond taking no action at all publicly.
PS Winter is Coming. It still has no date because it's still in development. It's been in development since 2009. I recall Aeolwind working on Temple of Veeshan's pathing, spawns, and loot in 2009 because the AX_Classic version was a fucking mess.
As far as I know, they are looking to get it perfect with information from EQMac so if you are a player on EQMac, and have access to PoM/ST, see PEQ or Project1999's efforts to recreate these specific zones.

This. The raid scene is awful, but that's mainly because of a mixture of EQ design, and ironically the hands off attitude of the admins. Without admin enforcement, there really is no reason for guilds to set up a rotation, so they train each other in any zone where the GMs don't go. (As far as I know, I'm a new player, and just casually observing.)

The other thing is that Kunark has been out so long, a lot of people have 3 or 4 alts that they can just camp out at various raid mob locations depending on where they are in the spawn variance, etc.
Then of course you have the issue of sheer numbers... no guild but TMO, from what I saw, can field a VP raid at 1 in the afternoon for example. It's also incredibly efficient... from batphone to death of Phara Dar was like 20 minutes, with people running invis to the pull spot and CoTH'ing whoever was slow or died.

Pretty much this, the server is ruined because Kunark has been out too long. Time on live between Kunark and Velious was like 8 months. Might be worth playing if a new blue server comes out after Velious with strict classic timeline, as long as the economy isn't ruined by staff RMT/duping again.
I know more than you think I do. Best part is, I'm not staff there and know more than you do about their inner workings. Obviously, this is demonstrated by your lack of knowledge when it comes to duping (hint: it didn't happen at all in the years the server has been online, and there has been a total of one dupe in EQEmulator since I came on and that single dupe was related to guild banks, which were implemented far after P99 had split from the main branch of EQEmu ) and RMT (you think Rogean and nilbog have anything to do with that, based on prior posts). You have not provided a single drop of evidence, yet claim these things go on. I told you how it is, I could dig up evidence to further my claims but chances are? They've already been posted by fanatics that want to 'bring the server down' and 'wipe it clean'.

I'm pretty confident Rog is involved with RMT on P99. There is just too much easy money to be made. It would be stupid for him tonotrmt. Besides, it seems like it would be trivial for him to determine who platlord was and ban him entirely. Since it hasn't occurred it seems like he must be at least implicit.

It's supposedly going to make a difference on facts by stating their opinion on how I look. Totally.
I can confirm that Ephi has, on multiple occasions, banned the 'individual' you guys call 'platlord'. Problem being, it's two people. One of them got their email hacked, and that's pretty much how some of the intricate details that lead to a specific staff member being fired. If you payed attention to the drama in the past, you'd know about it.
