Just re-watched this last night. I still enjoy it. There are some glaring plotholes, and it's pretty ridiculous that she's running around after having that surgery, but it's still a great Sci-Fi movie. Have they said there will be a sequel?

I still don't understand how the fuck that's not a prequel. It's an earlier time in the same setting. How is that not a prequel? Because it doesn't have Ripley working her way up to warrant officer?

It's not a sequel because there is no tie between the 2 movies at all. If the the ship inPrometheushad gone to the same planet that the ship in Alien had found the derelict ship on, then there would have been a little continuity between the two.

Fucking movie was the dumbest shit I ever have seen, the ones claiming it to be good, must have a cluebook of sorts, explaining the dumb shit as why someone would try to pet a space cobra amongst other things, things that really made no fucking sense at all?
Still though...I am going to see thesequel, although this time I will be alone as my wife wont ever let me deciede which movies we are going to see together, ever again. (no loss really)

So there's no real prequel, it's just a lot of separate stories all taking place in the same universe. David fromPrometheusis actually a Blade Runner type Replicant

Bro, if you think that's mind blowing then consider the possibility that Engineers are likely the ones who seeded the life on the Yautja homeworld thereby creating the Predator species.

That's what makesPrometheusso amazing. It is so richly layered and a lot of these knuckle draggers cant see beyond "Y WULD A SYENTIST GRAB A SNAKE!?!?!?!?!"
