I have to say that this comment really stuck out in Lithose's post

" And why did he pet the deadly penisvagina? Because the plot needed a monster, and without him making a decision that went completely against his established character--there would be no monster"

I didn't really think about it that way but it really rubs me the wrong way. A good writer would have been able to create the monster while letting the characters continue to act in their defined character. The guy could have still been afraid of the penisvagina snake and tried to get away a d still become the monster. I actually enjoyed this movie despite it's flaws as it gets my imagination going, but his makes me go "god dammit stop rushing, take you time and let the story unfold". If only they would put out 4 hour movies so the plot has time to grow to greatness instead of trying to fit everything into 1.5 hours or less.

Watched this movie for the first time over the weekend. Slaythe kept laughing because I was vocally hating it even before all the shit that people complain about. Really I think the complaints about this movie have been way WAY too cerebral. Look at this shit. Just fucking look at it:

The engineer guy really did look stupid as hell. That was the biggest glaring CGI nightmare to me. The old guy CGI was pretty shitty too. I thought the other aliens/monsters/zombified dude were ok. The abortion machine scene was badass taken out of context from the terrible plot. Powder-jedi put me in a bad mental frame from the opening scene though due to how awful it was.

Ya I just had my appendix cut out on Saturday, I wasn't able to perform a flying dropkick until Monday morning. Fucking ridic.

Also Avatar sucked way worse, I still haven't made it all the way through the fucking thing.
