Vamp, Valk, and Cu Chu were all from self feeding. Horus and Sieg were from Tamadra. The XP and evo mats for all those Valks and Cu Chus, and even Vamps... makes me cry, but it is good to have goals!

Ugh, yeah do tell. I have SEEN a fair number of them but I will be damned if I end up getting more than 1 in 3 thanks to seemingly lower roll priority to ANYTHING else that appears with them (I even kill them first just in case that some how impacts the drop chance).
As to the rest of what Ao~ writes about -- I can only say I 100% agree with him... and I don't have a Luci. I started before the OP was updated and happily settled on Freyja (who is a good leader in her own right and thankfully still very useful in my green team) but I can say pretty definitively the end 'cost' of that was very very high. Now that I have a solid gravity team built out it is not as bad, but it was REALLY EFFING PAINFUL to get there.. and it wouldn't have been had I held out for a Luci to built a grind team.
When you say 4/2/2 do you mean 4HP 2ATK 2RCV? Because the common grindy team is 4HP/0ATK/4RCV and also at the "upper" end of the game... you dont use rainbow keepers anymore. Rainbow Keepers are just the stopgap until you get better.
Having 4HP is nice and all, but unless you have the RCV to fill it back up... and 2RCV compared to 4RCV means you really do need twice as many hearts to heal up... and then to top it all off... it means you need a heart generator as a sub. So your either putting in a 900hp blue siren for 5 turn red to hearts... or a 1100HP drawn joker for 5-11 turn light to hearts... rather than a 3000+hp sub.
There is a reason why Thanatos (2.5hp to dark) isnt the king of the hill when it comes to leaders...
As for the point of the game... its to keep bejeweled fun long after matching puzzles becomes boring.
Now is a great time to start a new account... use the bat rem and get yourself a robin along with any of the decent grindy leaders from the regular REM. Don't NEED Luci... but he would be nice.

I was taking about a new player trying to break into the descends. Like me for an example. I have Loki, Underlord Hades, D/B batman and Vitra to work with as dark. So I would have to use an RK or two and a lucy buddy. Unfortunately im not quite there yet with levels so im just theorycrafting here.
Well.. the descends are VERY different levels of difficulty...
Parvarti is a REM only God. Drawn Joker (at least on JP side) is from a survey dungeon now.
Loki + RK + RK + RK + Siren + Luci and you can clear: 2 Heros, Hera, Valk, Zues, Goemon, Hera-Ur, Hera-Is with 0-5 stones on training difficulty

Skilling Parvati sucks (as I'm trying to get her and Fortoytops skilled up).
But for people JUST trying to get into descends, build potential teams, farm what you can, but save stones for when Angels are 3x-chance. Roll everything for a Luci. That's really it. Luci will be your end-game team (and should be for anyone/everyone). If you don't have SoD Luci, you're building a team for him to lead. There are exceptions to that, but they are few and far (honestly, only one I've seen so far is Joker). The rest are gimmick teams. I've even tried to emulate some of them until I realized it was a fucking stupid waste of resources.

Latest Descend was Joker. Most luci teams could not 0 stone him, but a 22,000hp or so goemon team could kill him in 2 turns.
JP side Beelzebub descend, can be 0 stoned with spike dmg teams: Kirin, Horus, Chinese, JP2.0
Just because Luci teams make it EASIER and only requires ONE REM roll... Doesnt mean its the ONLY way.
I am pretty sure you can double anubis every single descend. (I have 100xed all US side descends so far)
What makes Luci better than other 2HP 2RCV Leaders:
1. Dark...
The amount of possible subs that have either Dark main or dark as a sub color is staggering. Even if you do not touch the REM apart from the forced roll... you can get yourself:
Hera-Is (Blue/Black) amazing
Hera-Ur (Red/Black) great attack, good hp
Chu-Chu (Green/Black) just ok...
Satan (Black/Blue) 6666hp... but -9999rcv eeek
Black War Dragon (Black) 4500hp nice atk ok rcv..
Ancient Black Dragon
Rainbow Keeper (3126HP 1096 atk for 0 XP?! + 50%dmg skill?! WTF)
So along with 2hp/rcv, you also have access to EVERY COLOR WITHOUT using REM. *Though you do not get a Light main... so cannot do rainbow dungeon without using a special light sub. Green does not have access to a non REM red/green sub (ogres dont count).
Dark does 100% dmg to every color and 2x dmg to light (several descends are light focused, Valk+Zeus...)

I cleared my first hera using Godin/Neptune, cleared my first Goemon using Gabriel. Cleared two heroes using Mono-red.
I'd say Gabriel (heartbreaker is the easiest descend, siren is the easiest heartmaker to skill up), Godin (with healer friends), Parvati (with any mono-green or bastet friend), Ares (or freyr to combine with the other), Bastet, Amaterasu (now that she's getting a busty, amazing for a beginner), are all great rolls you could keep and work your way up to the "end game" even as a non-iap player.

I started PAD with an Amaterasu and no IAP... unless her busty is super impressive I would never suggest starting with AO to anyone

*Okininushe (black JP2.0 4xdmg + one turn delay, like horus but no colors, just combos)
*Fish&Game (blue/green subJP2.0 5x with Water/Wood/Light/Dark + 11 turn double orb change that doesnt lock out 5x! Lots of great subs available for that color combo)
*Kirin (light chinese 5x with colors... + mini gravity)
Green Odin (Special Green God... awesome stats... great sub... opens up early game faster...)
*Horus (Red Egyptian 4x with 4 colors, useful as sub in goemon too)
*Spike dmg leaders can be "replaced" with Robin from Batman REM if skilled+lucky.

Not joker specifically, but other older descended dungeons that are done with crazy teams that most players can't pull off.Huh? Joker? Gimmick teams? I dont understand
Hera Descended with 3 max skill Naga to perma-delay her to 4 turns, etc. There's a pile of videos from Tubegameplayer/hera-is-group that show these amazing setups (I think back to the first Astaroth team I saw zerostoning zeus) that only work if you've acquired several hundred/thousand stones AND been playing since near-release (for +297 on multiple monsters).
Let's look at those teams real quick:
Hera - 31 CDD, 44 Lilith WotN, 60 Siren, lvl53 Light Whiskey, Max Naga, Max Odin Ally
-Mostly a beginner team but...
--Max Skill Whiskey Dragon (seriously? this isn't beginner)
--Max Skill Siren (should be everyone's first 'normal' max-skill monster)
--Max Skill Lilith (that's quite a few trips through Poring and a lot of combines)
--Max Skill Naga (same as siren for quality, a SHITLOAD hard to skill up though), +152 stat...
2 Heroes - 98 Vamp Lead, 80 Hera, 30 Dark Golem, RK, Max Naga, Max Luci Ally
--Max Skill Vamp (should be especially if it's a lead, but a beginner)
--Hera (how'd you get a hera... guess the team from the hera video)
--Max Skill Dark Golem
--RK (always keep 3)

Zeus - Max Byakko, Max Hera-Is, Max DD Hades, Max Orochi, Max Naga, 31 Byakko Ally
-Seriously? Hera-Is on the team makes this immediately "suspect" as a beginner team
--Byakko (fine, spike, normal skill)
--Hera-Is beginner-lolwut, this should disqualify the entire team.
--DD Hades +6 lvl 13 skill gravity (meaning 12 SUCCESSFUL skills ups, at 20% that's 60 Heras fed to him).
--Demon Orochi skill level 2 (maybe a lucky skill up, otherwise that's 5 orochi's fed, or my counting is off)
--Max Skill Naga +75
-This guy has some skill in matching, though the double ultragrav (and the orochidelay) were both essential. He also got superlucky and didn't get a double bind or double strike from EITHER of the chimeras while they were under 75%.
Honestly, this is what I was referring to as gimmick teams... these aren't truly beginner teams, MAYBE the Hera descend team is, the rest certainly aren't. This is someone who is 200+/250+/275+ rank using their stable of monsters to do something "normal" and putting it onto youtube.
Watching these both confirm I've been shitty at using stamina and gaining rank quickly without gathering a similar amount of +eggs, and that my matching skills aren't youtube.
The thing to remember about +eggs and such when comparing is that as your rank gets higher, the amount of +eggs you get in the same time frame increases a lot. Once you start farming ocean of heaven and not wasting stamina on other stuff (hello ancient dark dragon..
) then the rate starts increasing.
Though its hard to compare to someone that has been perfectly running the system for 400 days when you have been exploring it for 240

Now I'm just going to come across like a dick:I just tried dark whiskey legend on a whim. I was tired of farming the stupid fri dungeon. So yeah I used 2 robins and one shot everything and 2 shot the boss. I cant believe it. Check the lowbie team too, hehe.
My first ever end game dungeon cleared.
End game dungeons start at Mythical (and this is from the guy that likes farming Legend versions and burning stones for stamina rather than burning stones on the Mythical versions).
Keep farming Dark Dragon (skilling him down to 4 turns is abbbbbsurd). Let me know what your success/failure ratio is with that team though, as one rounds 5/9/10 if you hit less than 8 combos, you've just lost 50 stam. It sucks, and I've pissed away the same opportunities drunkenly 7 matching shit.

And yeah, I got lucky with cascades but im a pretty good matcher though. Only went 2 rounds 32x rest were all 64x. But those 3 color dungeons are all about the cascades. And no im not gonna press my luck trying to farm him and blow all my sta wad. I tried this before, like 4-5 days ago and fucked up one time and got shit on. I cant even use him yet anyway. The cost is obsurd.
BTW what do you do with those moltdras? Just feed them to darks?
