Idk.... 8/10 as a thriller.
2/10 for retarded feminist messaging. "smile girls"




its rough. it is really well shot, great script in general... but ffs the feminist retardation is rough.
straight white nice guys.
zero accountability for whores going to island alone with strange men. living it up, bringing nothing to the table.
female accomplice, date rape, etc. the allusions are not subtle in the slightest.
"girls are taught to compete, but should work together and be supportive!" lol?
girls get overpowered and raped over and over, day after day.. until they remember, and suddenly instantly over power the men in 1v1's. lol...

first 60% is a bit interested as it does lean far more into just general thriller. it IS obviously from a female/feminist perspective, but the feminist retardation is kept at a simmer at best.
but of course around 60-75% of the way through, it drops the pretense. and just becomes a feminist fever dream.

the ending
and the final female empowerment. total control and power with no responsibilities... not righteousness, not justice. being the one in power. exactly like that one vampire movie. The invitation

Korean horror film from 2004. Set during the Vietnam War a garbled message is received from a missing unit and Lieutenant Not Martin Sheen is sent to find out what happened.

There's a bit of a cultural divide in the portrayal of some of the soldiers versus American war films (these guys are kinda kinda jokey) but overall this movie does a lot of stuff really well. Authentic setting, good lead actor and a ghost story with some nice twists and turns. Nothing too big but well put together. Back when remaking foreign horror films was all the rage I'm surprised this one didn't an American version. It would still make a great low-mid budget horror flick.

Cleaner - This movie features Daisy Ridley of the gay star wars fame ,with her silly moonie face playing a , I shit you not, window washer. It's basically her going up and down looking at stupid action through the windows. Gave up after an hour so I hope they all died in a fire after getting ass raped by giant green donkey dicks.

.5/10 avoid at all costs!

scientist friend should be the lead amusingly. she peace's off to new york. he finds the tech, gets the funding, does all the science, and work.

Movie focuses on her, and her relationship... instead of you know the tech or anything.
movie is about weather science, and using tech to "revolutionize" tornado tracking, and means to "stop" tornados from forming.

Girl instead of using weather science and tech, walks out, looks at clouds and picks grass/dandelions to identify where tornados will appear. lol. never change hollywood.
"its part science, part religion"
attempted murder by running people off the road at 65mph is sexy and just good ole boys being good ole boys.
"oh we got to go help the town, with our 2 people, and pickup and no supplies." lol what? even more amusing when they get there and in fact don't do anything. just wander around and get handed food themselves. and they come back to this and do it again. haha. "oh, we have 3 minutes before the tornado hits the town! we need to go get there, teleport back in time, so we have 20 minutes to drive there ahead of the tornado traveling at 150mph, have 15minutes to evacuate the town! the oklahoma town that needs these random assholes to tell them to "get to a shelter" as if they don't fucking know. this one is making such implausible scenarios to scream, "our protags are heroes!"

seems absurd Tyler wouldn't know exactly who kate is. particular after saying her name was Kate. its only been 5 years. there arent that many storm chasers. they would know ever other one, especially ones involved with deaths.

The issue here is the script doesn't get out of the way enough to be a good popcorn movie. if it was JUST adventure. it might be good. but, its script keeps getting in the way of that with really stupid science, and bad romance, and so many cliches.

credit for constantly talking about "more tornados, floods, etc" but never saying "climate change" not even once.


5/10 I think.

It completely came off to me as a girls movie. Like some shit you would see on Lifetime, but with a better budget. The early deaths of lovers, the new possible love interest, the broken hearted love interest, then the romantic love interest, finally ending with the ultimate "successful woman" bit. 5/10 is a little high, but not by much. Im in the 4's with it, and thats cause its a feel good movie for the wife, basically.

yeah. I don't think thats it. like if it was more of a drama, or spent more time on her psychology I think that would have been something.

I was going to mention the fiancée/bf. dies protecting her. She literally is shown dreaming of him holding her, and waking up in cold sweats. that shit never comes back up. its baffling.

I was expected a ptsd scene where she has a panic attack in the car, or when she ends up back in that same fucking scenario. but nope.. I thought maybe it would at least be a moment of character. Shes back in that scenario again, and crys out his name.(in the movie, she crys out for Taylor) Which would prompt Talyor to ask "who is Jeb?" where leads to a heartflelt discussion of her past/loss. but yeah, nope.
the mom doesn't mention Jeb either. no, "its time to move on" talk.
gabby is the only one that gets brought up again.

Too much of a girlboss? so it might be feminist messaging is the problem. can't have two women talking about boys. but I still wouldn't call it a girls movie, as it DOESN'T actually have any of the feelings, or emotions.

Snow White and the Huntsman. 2012.

I didn't know this existed. REALLY bad performances from Ms White and Ms Witch. Rather lifeless performances from everyone else. They CGI'd regular height actors to make them look small, which angered actual small people. The moral of this? Little people don't get their asses kicked enough in real life. The entire movie was lifeless and dull, with a dumb, preposterous ending.

If you are bored and have nothing to do, ride a kid's tricycle nonstop to Chile. It would be less painful than this movie.

I liked both Hercules and Xena as a kid - but I think my mom watched Hercules with me only because of Sorbo or w/e.

Yeah I remember Peter Dinklage getting all mad for typecasting dwarfs for the last one, and so they didn't, but then the little people lost their jobs so good job Peter!

Search being what it is, I don't know if there's a thread on this movie or not. It's playing now at my local theater.

Good spy/intrigue flick. Not too complicated plot and not too many characters. Story keeps moving and I didn't have it figured out by the time the culprit was revealed. It stars Kate Blanchett who I just like looking at.
