How can you change the pitch of your voice? I mean, obviously you can raise or lower the pitch at will, but to do that for the rest of your life? You'd have to constantly be aware of it and actively doing it. It seems like it would be the equivalent of speaking in a fake accent forever. Doable, but exhausting, especially if it's something you have to do even in intimate settings (as in this case).
Takes like 6 weeks to make it a habit? There are speech therapists that can fix most things.

Anyway, if you can't stand a girl's voice it's a perfectly legitimate reason to break up. It's no different than appearance. Sure, it can change through surgery or make up or whatever, but if you really don't like a certain aspect then it's pointless to stay together. What if a chick has a mustache? Changing the detected gender of your voice is a completely different adjustment than just changing your pitch. You can change your pitch and make it a habit. And knowing that people were genuinely annoyed with the pitch of your voice would help guide you to that.

I will most likely end up telling her the truth because the same thing always inevitably happens. I am going to give this one an actual chance for a little while longer though.
