Good observation. Pretty smart.and that's why you have adherents like Himeo who are swallowing the bullshit pieces of it too, because if the self-help stuff was right, surely the ridiculous boolean conclusions they make towards women are right.
This is one of the most defining things I see when I look at other people. Almost everyone, across the board and in nearly all aspects of life, hold on to one fundamentally flawed precept of life and the world in which they live: 'Well, if a little bit of a thing is good, then a WHOLE LOT of that thing must be GREAT!"
Alcohol? YEAH LOTS AND LOTS!!
Socialism? TONS OF IT!!! GIMMIE GIMMIE!
Food? LOTS AND LOTS!
Women? GIMMIE GIMMIE!
Money? OM NOM NOM NOM!!
Irreverence? THERE CAN NEVER BE TOO MUCH!!!
God? ALL DAY EVERY DAY BABY YEAH!!!!
Running? I RUN UNTIL I COLLAPSE EVERY DAY! HARDCORE!!
And on and on and on..... just pick any subject. Look at Tanoomba and feminism for a fairly proximal and extreme example.
This is a basic philosophical fallacy that nearly all people fall victim to several times in life, in all aspects of life. Some people even make an lifestyle out of it.
