Druids like to think they are special, play something useful and just whore druids like the rest of the server. =P

Something that is a good first toon (naked caster type) or a good end game toon (war / rogue / monk / ench / clr / mage) would be my advice.

But the usual response is prolly right, "whatever you like to play".

Bard takes too much skill for noodle boy here. Ports are going to keep him interested. Boats and running are brutal to new guys.

Even if he never intends to continue on with the Druid past leveling up, the world always needs more Druids for power leveling. I was always jelly on P99 of people that had access to Druids, because of how easy they could start new toons. Was awesome.

A competent druid on live was annoying as shit to pvp against. Fucking remember being in the 8th grade and got caught by a competent druid at raptor island on my wizard. Fucker did not kill me, just left my poor wizard alive with 50 hp.

They're not so bad in small or solo PvP. Their dots like winged death do less here than on live etc, but they're solid for target assist quest mass PvP.

With that said I'd second everyone else's suggestions that any new everquest player should give a druid a go as their first character, I'd advise against bard unless you know what you're doing.
