Ya.. far East side. I had been thinking about making a crypt below there where the gorge is. A kind of stairwell down and then a bridge going across the gorge not changing any of the geography. Here is the pic I got the idea from. There would be one of these kinds of entrances on either side of the gorge with a bridge connecting them. THen on the far side would be a wide walkway with statues/crypts inside concave sections of the main walkway.

I'm gonna build a place in the town soon I think...I'm not sure if I want to try the project I wanted to do when I first went into this game first though or not.

Is there any way we could get multiple /homes?

Well I am getting a little upset at the church. I really wanted most of the exterior done before we did too much with the interior so you would know what you had to work with as far as space went. Ive already lost my 2nd and 3rd doors because of that and the roof I put down with the inverted V shape was there since I wanted it to look like the picture I posted but the vane is already being built above that, and now the front door thing. I am really not wanting too much curves and rounded edges especially viewable from the outside as I was going for more of a harsh, sharp exterior. I am also really wanting to do the exterior towers connected to the main towers we currently have in place like the 2nd pic I posted when talking to Tuco.

I want to get the front two 2 story towers finished (all 4 sides windowed and their roof put on and then work on the central tower which I am actually having a hard time with where the middle towers meet the existing ones.. it just looks kinda funky and Im a bit stuck on how to make it look right.
yeah I think we all disagree on what to do on the west side. My choice would be to have the nave extend all the way to the front and not have those towers in the middle of it. Intropy wants an open space plaza. You want to have a first floor area like in your original picture. I don't really care though. Whatever you two decide is fine by me.

As for the 2nd and 3rd doors, we can put them in without disrupting anything.

The commands for Magic Spells Teach, Bind and Scroll should be working.

/cast teach <spellname> <playername> - to teach a specific spell to another player.
/cast scroll <spellname> <charges> - to create a spell scroll with a number of charges. These scrolls do not use mana.
/cast bind <spellname> - to bind a spell to an item you are holding other than your wands.
/cast unbind <spellname> - to unbind that spell from the item you're holding.

We started the nave today:

A few points that aren't sure:
1. the color of the roof. I think a gray of some kind would be more fitting than the wood we have now.
2. The inlay pattern that we take. What I put out is a bunch of variations. Whatever we take I thinki should have glowstone and maybe glass. Of the examples I had the dark gray looks good. The quartz is just too uniform and bright, it looks like a big marshmellow. The shape is also up in the air, 5x5 block is ok but I think we can do better and incorporate the netherbrick lining pattern into it.
3. The lining pattern, currently out of netherblock.
4. The celestory and triforium on the sides. I made a couple attempts that I hated and intropy is going to design it.

That 3d program you are using is pretty slick.

I had originally tried to measure the middle roof section so that the tip of the inverted V was level with the ceiling of the 2nd story. If you are making that middle taller, you may want to leave that roof off, or it might be too tall. If you want it, my original plan was using netherbrick stairs to give the roof a darker color than the floor/1st floor wood. I'll be on tomorrow if you want to go over anything.

*edit*
Ya.. just built up one of the central tower walls on the 2nd floor. If you put a roof on, it is going to be too tall (vane itself is already too tall.. is there any way you can lower it so 135 is the highest point?). If you want a different color, you may just make the top of the vane netherbrick, or leave it grey

Proper Catherdrals and Churches have stone roofs (tiles), not wood.

They also have stone floors and not birch ones. That doesn't matter, we're going for looks here and you can't really tell what materials are what.

You can't tell the walls have wool in them either, but sure enough there are hundreds and thousands of blocks of wool in those screen shots.

We could do that, but I thought you were going to use a more grand pattern for the second story central tower?

It looks like the second story not only has a different pattern than the first story walls but is also built upon another set of walls that is roughly as high walls that the nave is built upon.

It also seems like we're re-using the same wall pattern around 30 times, I think it might be good to change it for the second story central tower.
