Oh, it's worth it alright. However, when you make one for the first time and realize just how many combines and advanced assembly (20 min combines) it takes to make one you have to wonder if it's really worth it.

In 1.4.7 I used a series of Xycraft fabricators to make the 64k modules. In the new packs I'd probably look into making them in the ME crafting station. Haven't played with those much yet.

Also it is amazing what the extra bio mod adds to the game! Such a great pack! I can't wait to see what all this is going to be like in Dire's 1.6 pack.

They arent sure where they want to put it yet I don't think.

I'm torn on if I want to explore the new server to find a spot for my project or if I want to finish it first and then find a sport for it. The part I've completed so far almost caused me to say screw it and quit so its a bit daunting to go back and pick up where I left off before my vacation.

I've layed around 55,000 blocks on it so far, I have about double that still to go.

I think the best spot would put it right next to the Narwhalia temple which would be terrible. I'm still looking for a good spot and am open to ideas. It's possible we'll wait until the next expansion of the world to do it, but honestly I think with the number of people we have right now and the limited travel options the current world size is perfect.

Haven't had much of a chance to play since I've been out of town, but already loving the new world size, its awesome being able to wander around and see new projects pop-up each day.

Where did all our money go? I had over $40 last night I know, and eatbeast had over $50, and we both seem to have lost it all...others too I'm sure, but those are the only ones I can be sure of.

Yeah, lost all dolla dolla bills and was rolled back by ~2 hours.

On a side note, I'm building a tunnel, it's expansive and encomposes a lot of things. If you want to dig the minerals out of the walls it's cool with me, just please replace with cobble or something so it stays nice and pretty. Dats all.

Yeah, same here. I earned a bunch last night finally going to some of those world chests and just wandering around killing shit. But when I posted my message above I had exactly .50 (as opposed to the almost $50 I had the night before), and I built it up from there, as did everyone else that was playing. It never spontaneously reimbursed us.

If it helps any, when I was playing late Sunday night (around midnight Pacific time), the server crashed and kicked me off, so I figured it was time to go to bed. I'm guessing that is probably when it happened, because I logged on the next morning and was the only one on for hours, but since I was at work I was staying safe in my base and not killing anything, and didn't notice until hours later when I killed a couple squids and saw I had no money.

Yeah it happened along with a huge rollback, I was personally rolled back about 45m from where I logged out the night before.

For the love of god don't play any GregTech servers, the guy thinks "challenging = relentlessly tedious gathering at 20x slower rate then vanilla" which is completely the wrong attitude. Some of his endgame ideas are awesome but he wants you to take a zillion years to get there.

My favourite gregtech story is how he calls EVERY ingame tick (i.e. 20 times a second) a check to see if certain players are using his mod and if they are to make them automatically wear a "Pumpkin Hat of Shame" because they had the audacity to ask him to tone shit down. Nice use of your cpu resources there!

Shame the 1.6 updates for the bigger/better mods are taking so long due to the huge changes Mojang made, no TE, BC or MFR yet

There will be some instability this morning with the server as I attempt to copy over the Cathedral. It's roughly 11 million blocks and my first attempt will likely crash the server. It may have to come over in pieces. Stay tuned.
