I finally banged out Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat not too long ago, both were enjoyable. Hopefully they push more of the scary stuff, the STALKER games are great for atmosphere.

Looking forward to this one.

“You can win an auction for the chance to become an NPC.”

Hah, fuck auctions, just register as a democrat and watch some CNN. Become an NPC free of charge.

Good. There’s a boutique board game called Kingdom Death. They announced some NFT trash a few weeks ago, and the feedback was so negative they pulled the idea within like an hour. Not a single person wanted it when I was reading the comments.

no one saw this one coming. They have shown jack shit when it comes to gameplay so far. There's no fucking was it's gonna be released in April. Hell, I bet it's gonna be a 2023 release

Honestly, given the history of STALKER, I'm actually surprised that they delayed it instead of just shipping whatever they had done in April. Must have been completely unplayable still.

Can I get a hell yeah? I really loved the first Stalker. Woman says they actually are speaking authentic Ukrainian in this one ( Araysar Araysar ). This was really a pioneer in terms of survival horror FPS game.

I tried to play the first time but didnt understand it. Much like your typical Ukrainian, at the beginning I fired 30 rounds at some dude and nothing happened. I couldnt find more ammo so I turned it off and gave up.

Also I never heard of "Chornobyl".

I recommend giving the first one another go. It has a real rough beginning but opens up a lot as you get some more game knowledge. Doesn't really hold your hand about anything either and has a good amount of complexity. At least for its time.

I remember playing the first one and I was in some sort of factory or compound or whatever the hell, going down some dark hallway, and then suddenly this allowed weird noise happens and the camera gets forced the opposite direction. At the end of the hallway there's this big mutoid psychic monster screwing up your perspective, and your cameras shifting around all over the place. Was pretty awesome at the time.

It's a fun game even though it was kind of half-assed towards the end. All clear sky wasn't anything amazing, but I'll be happy to pick this up on a steam sale. The originals were fun just to run around and explore. They did do a pretty good job of installing a sense of dread and fear when you're going into the depths of some giant complex.

Wish fallout would actually make a game that tried to get rid of the campiness, and really tried to make you scared to go into a sewer tunnel or something. Could be pretty amazing.

Will probably be a buggy mess after all the delays and everything else that happened, but at least it's still on Game Pass day one.

Pre-load is up for this on Xbox. Gamepass PC still just loads a 10MB stub, nothing more. Not sure about Steam for you weirdos who still don't have Gamepass.

It's a batshit-insane 150 GB. Release appears to be global, which means no NZ trick to play early. Doesn't look like there's any upgrade path from base edition to deluxe or ultimate for Gamepass users who are really into the game. Gamepass also doesn't get the pre-order bonuses, which is always a shitty move. Personally I still expect it to be a hot mess at launch and will probably take months of patching and user mods to make it decent. Especially since the review embargo drops two hours before the game unlocks.
