Are we sure that its the sodium flouride thats poisonous and not something else in the water??

I heard that dihydrogen monoxide can be extremely poisonous if ingested in large quantities

Irrelevant. Sodium fluoride is a toxic poison. You can show the periodic table all you like as if pretending to know what you're talking about. Doesn't effect the reality of the situation that sodium fluoride is toxic and accumulates in the body. In fact it might be why you are so fucking retarded. I mean you're either a shill for these people or you have some form of down syndrome. Not sure which it is yet. Seriously though can you do society a favor and kill yourself? Or at the very least get into a severe car crash and either die or become a vegetable for the rest of your worthless life? Watching you eating from a straw for the rest of your life would make me happy.
Lumie I cant find any evidence that sodium flouride has been used as rat poison. As a matter of fact, everyone on the internet claims it hasnt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_fluoride

Sodium fluoride is an ionic compound, dissolving to give separated Na+ and F? ions. Like sodium chloride, it crystallizes in a cubic motif where both Na+ and F? occupy octahedral coordination sites;[4][5] its lattice spacing, approximately 462 pm, is somewhat smaller than that of sodium chloride.

NaF is prepared by neutralizing hydrofluoric acid or hexafluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6), byproducts of the reaction of fluorapatite (Ca5(PO4)3F) (from phosphate rock) from the production of superphosphate fertilizer. Neutralizing agents include sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate. Alcohols are sometimes used to precipitate the NaF:
HF + NaOH ? NaF + H2O
From solutions containing HF, sodium fluoride precipitates as the bifluoride salt NaHF2. Heating the latter releases HF and gives NaF.
HF + NaF ? NaHF2
In a 1986 report, the annual worldwide consumption of NaF was estimated to be several million tonnes.[7]

Lumie, were you aware that every bone in your body, and your teeth, contain sodium and fluoride?

YOUR ENTIRE BODY IS MADE UP OF POISON.

You should have your entire skeleton and all your teeth removed to save yourself from the ill effects of these two ions.

Irrelevant.
No, actually, its completely relevant. In fact, its the only thing that's relevant. Because this is chemistry, proven through rigorous experimentation and observation. We're talking literally first and second year Chemistry here. Salts and solutions and how they mix and interact is literally the entirely of your second semester as a chemistry major. This isn't just relevant, itsfundamental

And no amount of retard regurgitation of nonsense from you is going to make it less relevant just because it conflicts with your stupid world view.

I downloaded LoL because I'd never played DOTA or any MOBAs before, but I barely played it.

I think they sent me an email a year or so ago saying they were going to take my name if I didn't log back in. I can't even remember my log in details.

It kind of reminded me of WoW PVP and battlegrounds a little.

I was pretty meh on the whole thing.

Sodium and fluoride are not the same as sodium fluoride combined. Together it is a highly toxic compound.

Lumie I cant find any evidence that sodium flouride has been used as rat poison. As a matter of fact, everyone on the internet claims it hasnt.
This is because you are also mentally retarded.

I know, man. I screwed up. Quitting playing video games as a full time career to do something meaningful instead. What a mistake.

I should have stayed fat and happy at home playing my pally tank.

Oh how I will sit upon my death bed, gazing back over the wreckage of my life, and regret will be the only existence I know. Regret that I did not become the number 1 league of legends player on the planet, because I was too busy studying chemistry and biology and anthropology and chinese instead.

The study looked at regions of the world that have orders of magnitude larger amounts of fluoride in their water naturally than we have through unnatural means.

Sad that Cracked.com has a cogent rebuttal to this bogus headline and story but there it is.

http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/f...headline-week/

When your conspiracy theory is easily debunked by comedic websites, might want to rethink your conspiracy.

Harvard Study Finds Fluoride Lowers IQ

Simple, unambiguous and damning. But then in the story itself, the first thing we see is a quote from the study that is way, way, way less definite than the headline:

"Our results support the possibility of adverse effects of fluoride exposures on children's neurodevelopment."

So now it's the "possibility."

Then they say:

"The children in high fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ than those who lived in low fluoride areas," write Choi et al.

Whoa! OK, now, which areas? Like, is Milwaukee worse than Dallas? Well, let's follow the link in the press release to the study and then the additional details of the study. In some tiny print you'll find they're talking about China and India, and they are not motherfucking talking about fluoride in toothpaste or stuff being added to drinking water. In those countries, their water supply is contaminated with mega-doses of fluoride that seeps into wells from the soil. They're getting toxic levels up to 20 times higher than what you get in your drinking water.
so water dissolves the salt and the flouride, what is the effect of ingesting too much flouride and its relation to the ever mystical pineal gland.
There is none. Fluoride is incorporated into bones and teeth. Too much fluoride can lead to problems with teeth and bones, not your fucking pineal gland.

The pineal gland is an infinite source of stupid urban mythological bullshit. See also Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Sodium and fluoride are not the same as sodium fluoride combined. Together it is a highly toxic compound.
And when you mix a salt with water, the salt disassociates.

Also you have to consume between 5 and 10 grams of NaF at one time for it to be toxic, if you're an average weight of approx 150 pounds.

Stop being a retard. Everything on the planet is toxic in too high a dose.

That's why the FDA limits Fluoridation in water to .7ppm.

Studies Have Repeatedly Linked Fluoride to Reduced IQ and Brain Damage

There are so many scientific studies showing the direct, toxic effects of fluoride on your body, it's truly remarkable that it's NOT considered a scientific consensus by now. Despite the evidence against it, fluoride is still added to 70 percent of U.S. public drinking water supplies.

It amazes me that the medical (and dental) communities are so stubbornly resistant to connect the dots when it comes to the skyrocketing increase of cognitive decline in adults and behavioral issues in children (ADD, ADHD, depression and learning disabilities of all kinds). In fact, there have been more than 23 human studies and 100 animal studies linking fluoride to brain damage. Fluoride can also increase manganese absorption, compounding problems, since manganese in drinking water has also been linked to lower IQ in children.

Reported effects of fluoride on your brain include:

. Reduction in nicotinic acetylcholine receptors
. Damage to your hippocampus
. Formation of beta-amyloid plaques (the classic brain abnormality in Alzheimer's disease)
. Reduction in lipid content
. Damage to purkinje cells
. Exacerbation of lesions induced by iodine deficiency
. Impaired antioxidant defense systems
. Increased uptake of aluminum
. Accumulation of fluoride in your pineal gland
Found that in the article you linked. But since Hodj linked a picture of the periodic table, it's obviously wrong and he is right. That's all a bunch of lies! Citation required!

Dr. Joseph Mercola

Joseph Mercola, "doctor" of osteopathy, is a popular guru of alternative medicine and a member of the right-wing quack outfit Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. He advocates and provides a forum for many classic crank medical ideas, such as vaccine hysteria and the belief that modern (sorry, "allopathic") medicine kills more people than it helps. His website is a veritable spring of pseudoscience, quackery, and logical fallacies. He is a promoter of the idea of an AMA/Big Pharma/FDA conspiracy.[1]
Despite his claim that unlike real other doctors, he is not interested in profit,[2] he advertises all manner of unproven products, and has a health center that dispenses alternative medicine for a steep price.[3]

[edit]Issues

In addition to the issues mentioned above, Mercola promotes various disproved crank health ideas such as:
Toxic metals in vaccines and dental fillings. The idea of heavy metal poisoning as being responsible for many common health problems is a popular one, and completely wrong. The studies of mercury in dental amalgams and vaccines are conclusive - there is no danger (which is more than can be said for the unnecessary chelation therapy quacks prescribe to fix the "problem").[4]
Statin drugs are dangerous. This one is particularly horrible, as few medications or interventions has been found to be as safe and effective as statins. Failing to prescribe a statin to someone with coronary artery disease is very much against the standard of care (meaning that it could be construed as malpractice).
Microwaves "kill nutrients in food." Just plain wrong.[5]
Modern medicine kills you dead, but homeopathy works! (Fractal wrongness).
HIV doesn't cause AIDS and death from HIV is due to the "psychological stress" of having the condition. But he has a cure![6]
Seriously, just pick a quack b?te noire out of a hat, anything from aspartame to water fluoridation.
[edit]FDA warnings

Mercola has received two warnings from the FDA for hyping coconut oil, chlorella, and the Living Fuel RxTM diet.[7][8] He received a third warning for selling infrared cameras that he claimed could be used to diagnose a number of illnesses.[9]

The angle I could never really find a debunk too was that flouride(or calcium) deposits build up in the pineal gland over time, and that gland is responsible for spirituality or whatever the fuck new age thought.
That it doesn't kill people so much as kill the part of their brain and make them more zombie like somehow.

What's funny is that I actually make far more money than you doing nothing but playing video games. Also LOL if you think what you're doing is meaningful at all. You are literally incapable of doing anything meaningful. You're a complete waste of life and a complete detriment to the advancement of the human race. You are like human sodium fluoride.
