Especially in cases where transportation involves condoms and body cavities.Transportation costs.
Good point. If reconstituted alcohol doesn't suffer the same problem as other similarly restored food items, could save a lot of money. But that begs the question, why don't current manufacturers sell at a higher proof and just recommend adding water?Transportation costs.
Its lighter and its less fragile. So, camping trips and suchlike. Carry your light, unbreakable tin of the stuff in, and add water when you get where youre going, and voila, booze!A half cup makes this useless. All practical applications go out the window when you still need to make a couple quarts of liquor Kool-Aid. Why not just buy the real thing at that point?
I posted these back on FoH. I need to actually follow up on what this is.. Anyway, it's 108 grams, hit on iron on a metal detector about 10in down by a creek and it's magnetic. really magnetic..Just post an imgur link. Anyone claiming to be a geologist is probably trolling you, anyways.
PS. I am a geologist, but I don't read PMs
Heh, well this is going over your head (obviously) but there is a chance it's a meteorite. That's why I'm asking. I sent the pics to a guy before over the Internet and he just asked me how much. Felt like a scam so I didnt follow up. I reached out to a local university and a scientist there wanted to see it, but my luck he was moved to another state for research. I got busy and kind of forgot about it, so I'm going see it thru now.Well, it's some ore of iron, nickel, or cobalt. And it's not blue, so probably not cobalt. Probably iron. Grats?
A good friend of mine has a 100+ lb Russian Terrier that he pretty much uses as a pack horse to carry a case of beer with him camping. I'm starting to think that's the main reason he got the dog.Yep, if you can't pack a flask of whiskey on your camping trip then you are totally doing it wrong.
Why would its origin change its composition? I thought there are only three elements that are naturally magnetic. Or, do you specifically care that it's a meteorite?Heh, well this is going over your head (obviously) but there is a chance it's a meteorite. That's why I'm asking. GTFOWhy would its origin change its composition? I thought there are only three elements that are naturally magnetic. Or, do you specifically care that it's a meteorite?
Looks like an alien face on it. Definitely extra-terrestrial.
Of course I care if it's a meteorite. I know it's iron. I said that in the OP. There are certain tests to identify a metorite. Iron being one, magnetic being another and density. I just found his post condescending. The whole Grats? part.. Could be my estrogen levels today../shrug..I don't get the hostility here.
When I said transportation as an advantage, I wasn't referring to end-user, which is slight compared to how much distributors could save not sending liquid everywhere. Think about bars serving mixed drinks using powder for their well alcohol the same way they use syrup for their coke. Its lighter and its less fragile. So, camping trips and suchlike. Carry your light, unbreakable tin of the stuff in, and add water when you get where youre going, and voila, booze!
Well the problem with that, and likely the problem with this, is the lack of control that introduces into a brand's consistency and quality. Also, I think there is more to producing alcohol than just picking a proof. That is to say, I don't believe your average vodka starts 100 proof and is diluted down to 40.Good point.
