That's quite a shitty thing to say about anyone. Hes a bigger idiot than anyone. Why should everyone ignore you because they don't agree with you? That's what makes forums fun, fucking arguing with people. Fucking Sean with his playstation shoved up his ass.Sean_sl said:Don't argue with him and quote him, he's a worthless piece of shit that should be on everyone's ignore list.
a_skeleton_03 and Merlin do it in places Sean rarely views though. (And I'd tend to disagree with a_skeleton_03 although I've not tread into the religion thread that I've heard is his opus)As far as I can tell, that's just possibly retarded opinions (which honestly I don't know enough about what he's talking about to even evaluate if it's retarded).
If we're infracting people for retarded opinions now, I can provide you with a long list of people who should be RRPed. It starts with a_skeleton_03 and Merlin.
Since we're not, I'll chalk this up as another case of Sean being an asshole.
Probably because of their history - looking back over it, it's clear that one of you needed a breather. Given that Sean dislikes Column, he leaned that way. Problem was solved with one of you out of the way.Wait, Column was fucking up his jack off napkin thread, a Playstation 4 worship thread. I was right there with him, arguing with him, how come I didn't get rrped?
What advice is that exactly? to always agree with Sean or get RRPed?I'm personally done discussing it with you - I've given you the advice I could - hopefully you have the maturity to take it to heart, because right now you're demonstrating that you did need some time to cool off - which is what you're complaining about, in a nutshell.
Not saying the amount of intervention could or could not have been inappropriate (really that comes down to the moderation rules - which aren't on public display here) - but some level was needed.Come on Vaclav, that was bullshit. A warning would of sufficed. Instead he got 7 days for being a xbox fan. If Column replaced all his Xboxes with Playstations he would of been left alone.
I never said that - again, showing yourself to be less than mature - taking the high road and signing off from something with a "I disagree, I feel X - nothing you say will change that - but I'm done discussing it with you" - is appropriate for times like that where it just becomes a circular argument. (Which you seem quite fond of, and really aren't productive - and yes, I know I get caught in them too sometimes... it's something I catch myself on far later than I should that is on my list of personal traits to work on...)What advice is that exactly? to always agree with Sean or get RRPed?
Sorry I will never take that advice, so you can move along.
Be real here, dude. You have people posting here under American Inventor DICK handles. Moderation? For what? What was he doing wrong? Not saying the amount of intervention could or could not have been inappropriate (really that comes down to the moderation rules - which aren't on public display here) - but some level was needed.
It might be that they've got a strike system for mods where if you've got multiple strikes in the past like Column does that you skip warning, not sure their policies. But something happening with a warning or better did make sense. And with his history being worse than yours (by quite a bit) it's no shock he targeted Column over you.
So if today was an example of this circular arguing that you are referencing, why aren't you in here with me?But the circular thing needed to stop.
So, uhhh, say stop? Like any other moderator here does?No idea the reference there mkopec to compare against - got a link?
And moderation tiers usually start at warnings under most rules that forums use for moderators to follow - but most also have some criteria where you skip straight to bannings/suspensions and the like. (Which we've got RRP which replaces bannings more or less - only the most egregious stuff gets banned) A warning would have made sense to me not knowing the rules the moderators follow here, but without the moderator rules on display it's hard to say if Sean did right or wrong by skipping straight to RRP. But the circular thing needed to stop.
If you've got the moderator's rules I'd be glad to read them and compare his actions - but I don't think they've made them public - if there's none and it's just "act as you see fit" the criticism falls on him versus the moderation rules. Do we know which applies here? So, uhhh, say stop? Like any other moderator here does?
Most efficient way to deal with a circular argument when you're moderating is to remove the person that is causing it to continue - which as you can tell from how the tangent continued - removing you did kill it. Mass bans aren't usually kosher barring serious oddities. (In fact, in moderating various forums from 98 til 2010 or so - I can only remember a few mass bannings, and all of them were either spam armies or Nazi/equivalent nonsense)So if today was an example of this circular arguing that you are referencing, why aren't you in here with me?
You were part of that debate.
