Er, also, FoH was most certainly top 10 Horde in vanilla prior to just about all of the EQ people realizing that games weren"t fun to them if they weren"t making other people miserable and they all quit.
WoW"s raiding game was a barely polished turd until BC and beyond anyway. By then Furor was an off and on contributor and nearly everyone that by your standards you would consider "real" FoH was gone. We (er, they really - I had an actual life during this period, amazingly) still pushed quite hard to get shit dead. And that was true until LK and its "run the same raid four fucking times a week" where we splintered into a 10-man "progression" group and a 25 man "round up the tards and get some loot" main raid. Thus the christian casual FoH was born. Even still, we"d kill things before tens of thousands of other guilds.
While this was going on, you were raiding in EQ2, a game that had about three guilds gamewide pushing progression and maybe a half dozen that would complete a tier before a new one was released. That"s some serious competition there, Lou. And I"m not shitting on those people, some of them were great people and are still around in Rift. But the level of competition in WoW, vs anywhere else is a fucking laughable comparison. Sure, there are 10 million idiots. But the good ones tend to gravitate towards the successful guilds until there is one hell of a tough level of competition at the top. And we just weren"t the type of guild to purge the shit members and recruit good ones. Because Furor had a soft spot for some MAJOR cancers in our guild that led this clique of "too cool to pay attention to any instruction or kill trash and isn"t it hilarious to troll and piss of fucking everyone" led by Zehn and a few other fucks that I wouldn"t piss on if they were on fire.
So yeah, wow foh was a "failure" in large part because Furor went soft. Sure, he"d still rage about retards and such but he fucking refused to LET US GET RID OF THEM. I quit the game because of shits like that when I should have just left the guild.
Anyway, enough of this stupid derail. Tyen started it.
Also, Tyen, nobody gives a flying fuck about the traffic the site gets except you. Our concern is with the CONTENT of the site. Content that turned to shit by your addition of a moderator that nobody knows or likes and Alloria"s complete apathy.

No one fucking cares if FoH has higher traffic. He holds on to that because he is a little bitch and needs to see a graph show him that he is "better". As has been pointed out he can keep the bots/lurkers. The point of morenetz is not to "beat FoH". It is to provide a place for every FoH poster that wants to get away from the malware, and the fucking stupidity of Tyen/Trex. While I don"t dislike Req at all it also gets us away from him. Which is a good thing because if he is too busy to fix things like a malware problem then he really has no business being in charge. I have always liked the man, but in my opinion this place deserved better.
Also, there is no reason to just delete FoH from the bookmarks yet. It is lots of fun watching Tyen get so defensive. Still some folks who might not of seen the new site yet. Almost 500 and counting! What MN is really great for is that it is a alternative to this place. Something that previously didn"t exist. Which I think is what rustled Tyen"s jimmy the most.
