As tempted as I am to watch it with the wife, I might have to do a pass. One of the last show that we watched together was at night sky with JK Simmons, and that got axed after the first season. I just can't stand the stupid streaming stuff dragging out seasons of whatever show even if they're pretty good. But notice that now all of them release their episodes weekly versus dumping them out like Netflix used to.

Got to keep up that stupid subscription, and we'll make certain story is never concluded and you need to resubscribe when the next season comes out.

I'm kind of getting that way with yellow jackets right now, which is probably one of the better says I've watched in a long time.

I did watch Masters of the air recently, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. So goddamn good.

I really, really liked the first season and while I'm negative on season two it's very popular. Most of the stuff I don't like I knew watching it that other people would feel the complete opposite.

I'm feeling a little like I've been transported back to 2008. Getting serious Lost season 4 vibes, when that show started going off on long tangents that weren't really even related to the main storyline.

I read that the Severance showrunners weren't really sure what they were going to do once Season 1 ended. I assumed that they figured it out since they made Season 2, but now it's seemingly like maybe not so much lol.

Show is still really well done, so I'll keep watching. But def getting mission creep/filler vibes.

A teenage Cobel coming up with severance tech while being addicted to ether would fit, since Lumon is functionally retarded which is why it's so fun to watch.

I don't mind the story implications, but jesus that episode was painful to watch.

10 minutes of driving through the snow

5 minutes of aggressively brushing teeth while staring in to the void

10 more minutes of destitute town and driving

Holy shit it was so fucking boring

It was nice of her childhood friend to wait outside in the truck at zero degrees while she slept in her mother's deathbed. Here, take my truck. It will strand me with no way back to town but go ahead.

This after spending a bunch of screen time with her searching through the house, her old room, her mom's room that was locked, looking for the key, where's the key, I FOUND THE KEY, nope not here, time for bed, oh right it's probably all in the root cellar yep there it is thanks bye. I invented Severance at 14 while high as a kite on ether in a cave with a box of scraps.

It's another episode this season that looks like it was from a different show entirely.

yeah it is super jarring after another weird episode. I think the contents of this episode would have been better split up across 3-4 episodes in the entire season.

1 more episode to go, we'll see if they stick the landing but this episode has me thinking maybe not. Way too much to wrap up and I don't really even have a direction anymore for where the show is going. I honestly have no idea what Lumon is trying to do anymore, and it makes absolutely zero sense for Kobel to have invented Severance with so many insane details (glasgow, overtime, etc) on her own as like what, a fucking 8-12 year old lol.

All the revelations this episode are really hard to fit in the lore, I hope they can pull it off next episode but I don't really see how. Everything about this episode from the writing, pacing, cinematography, acting, sets, and costumes were all a step back from episode 7.

We get two episodes, this one was eight. It's enough to establish some stakes and a direction with 9 and then a climax/conclusion plus cliffhanger for 10.

Episode 8 is what you get when you take an episode's B plot and stretch it to full length. Severance doesn't really do the A plot B plot episode structure much if at all but for this one they really should have. We could have spent half the run time anywhere else doing anything.
