One of the many reasons I don't miss android.
Yea at least my phone doesn't presume my musical preferences and rape me with Bono.

And if I have a problem with a service, I can forcibly remove it without waiting at the tit of Apple to fix the problem. I just can't stand iOS once you get past the basics. It's fun to play around with but I've been infuriated by the end of every 'please help me computer guy' help session I've given my friends trying to bumble around and change settings which either aren't there or buried so deep you aren't supposed to survive if you find them.

How can you deal with those phablets? The Note is so fucking big. I just can't imagine carrying it around in my pocket afraid to bend or move because the giant thin phone in my pocket might hit something. I mean, assuming you don't wear cargo pants every day.

A bit late to the watch argument, but I've been following the 360 closely on XDA. It seems a lot of the "official reviews" are based on the initial charge.

A lot of users with the recent update and having gone through a few charge/discharge cycles are reporting MUCH better battery life.

There is a guy who posted a series of pictures showing it.

It will definitely last you a full day from wake up to bed time.

Keeping in mind, not saying it's amazing by any stretch, but the iWatch basically doesn't exist. There are no specifics and it isn't even due to be released till next year. So anyone claiming anything about it is basically doing so based on vaporware.

Lol Palum.

And on 360 shame that the move is raping my wallet so much, really want to have one to give a hands on impression.

Also beyond initial charge issues, I'd imagine people overuse it initially too. Rather than knowing what works better going for the full phone they're likely trying almost everything on the 360, plus random uses they wouldn't normally do to show it off.

And Flipmode: Are you honestly trying to say that no iOS update has ever broken any apps? Seriously?

I have a Note3, and don't have any issues with it, for how thin the phone is it's incredibly durable.

Anyone know how to delete words from the stock android dictionary when it comes to texting? Every time I swipe "and" it suggests "abd" for some reason. I went into Language & Keyboard > HTC Sense Input > Personal dictionary and I never added "abd" to my dictionary. I have an HTC Desire running 4.4.2.

Thanks

One of the biggest features of the upcoming Android L is much better battery life and battery usage reporting I think.

No Vaclav, I'm not claiming that at all. I remember having my android phone and having to root it because all those processes ran in the background killing battery life. Had to install atk which drained even more battery. Eventually just froze the offending stuff with titanium backup.

I just prefer the iOS/windows phone solution of freezing the app and only letting the one active one run. Seems to be a better solution.

But that situation is why you can literally throw specs and ram at android and they still don't run as smooth as their iOS/windows counterparts.

Androids strength is it's customization. You can make it do a lot but that's not without a lot of trade offs.

I'm glad to see apple take a few cues from android like opening up some APIs. We just need a good official theming engine and I'll be happy.

I paid a small fee , like 99 cents for Android Assistant and it keeps that under control for me with a swipe or tap of a button.
There is a ton of free ones out there but I just liked this one the most. It is especially good at dumping everything to free up ram/whatever and stopping processes I deem not needed.
My battery life basically double on any given day to where I can text/talk and browse around and not worry about needing to charge it until bedtime.

iWatch = last gen iPod nano + band and bluetooth for + $200?
As someone who actually wore the Nano 6G on his wrist... no, absolutely no. That thing was useless as a watch. If I have to hit a button to see the time on a watch, that's a gigantic Hell No. If I can't install apps on a smartwatch (I mean, even the Pebble can do this) but they went to great lengths to make it look like iOS anyway, Hell No.

Granted, it had better battery life than the Pebble, but that's easy when the screen is off all the time and there is no concept of multitasking.

Try long pressing the word. That's how you do it in SwiftKeyX.

I'm likely tainted by starting with nexus line, then switching to a high-end with light bloat (M8) but my experience hasn't been remotely close to that, ever. And when I mess with iOS stuff they seem slow in comparison for functionality - it does seem like there's some lousy Android options out there though - but that's just being a smart consumer to choose the right one for you.

This. Not sure what Flip is talking about.

Yea, I'm curious if it's not just an issue of buying cheap then expecting premium results. Like buying $1 Banquet shit in the frozen section then claiming no frozen food is any good. (caveat I don't think most frozen stuff is good, but won't deny a few quality ones)

I think Flipmode must have had an Android phone when they were fairly new. Everybody used to run ATK and similar stuff but that hasn't been an issue for years.
