Trust me, they are making absolute bank even on $60 screen repairs. Years back I bought an iPhone 3GS replacement screen from China for $5 and swapped it out myself with some YouTube videos. Looked just like new.

This was a pretty interesting video I saw recently:
How much does your iPhone really cost? - CNN.com Video
Yes and no - if you actually read the reports of people getting a crack fixed for the M8's they're doing COMPLETE REPLACEMENTS rather than just fixing the screen. For a normal "screen replacement" - I'm sure $60 is profitable (even though most places charge more than HTC does) - but they literally are throwing brand new phones at people and then I presume cannibalizing the broken phones for parts or reselling them as refurbs, which for a "Hey, here's a brand new phone" fix is pretty damn cheap. [especially since it "resets" battery weardown etc]

No chatter about the droid turbo that's releasing next Tuesday (10/29)? From the leaked specs it looks like it is going to be a monster.

Amazon screwed the pooch.

After a month of this phone being pre ordered where they promised it to me for a today delivery, it still hasn't shipped. As a result, I just swapped the delivery address from my work to my house, and now it's not even showing me a delivery estimate.
I want my Note 4! /temper tantrum

Biggest complaint I have about it so far is the stock keyboard kinda sucks. Oh and the chrome browser it comes with doesnt have forward/back buttons right on the toolbar.

SwiftkeyX is free, you have no excuses.
Hah I think thats what it uses? Its definitely not Swype which was what I had been using for 3 years prior.

Problem is the prediction just sucks, at least compared to when I was using Swype. Some very simple words going over the exact keys and it gives me something completely different. 50% of the time I would type and it would give me abs until I deleted abs. Fantasy is another word that is impossible to type just sliding across the keys, it keeps bringing up Farvue(swype did the exact samething) even though my finger never touches the U key.

Yeah I dislike swift key Swype mode.

Kii is excellent if you can spell and are accurate. Most customizable keyboard out and works well.

Swype is great with its ability to learn your shitty habits and give you what you want.

I quite like swiping in Swiftkey. The only exception being "probably". It just can't seem to figure that word out.

Swype is the best. I've been using it since I first got my S3 on release day. I can't wait to use it again on the note 4.

PS - On my way home from work today, I stopped by the Verizon store. They had black Note 4's in stock, so I quickly cancelled my preorder from Amazon and bought the phone from the retail store.
I can't wait to really get into it.

My fucking LG G2 is broken again. This is my 4th one.

#1 - Headphone jack went bad
#2 - Dead strip at the top of the screen
#3 - Dead strip at the top of the screen
#4 - Headphone jack went bad

That's 4 phones in 9 months. It's so fucking frustrating that they won't let you get a different phone on a warranty replacement from Verizon. I'm going to try calling LG and see if they will send me a G3 or something. I just don't want another one of these piece of shit G2's.

Got my VZW Black Note 4 yesterday from Bestbuy to take advantage of the $200 preorder giftcard. Thing is pretty sweet so far. Definite upgrade from my Note 2. Battery life is sick especially considering the screen resolution. I figure once I get Lollipop running on here, this thing could easily last me 2 years until the Note 6 at the rate phone tech has plateaued. In regards to the stock keyboard. I loved Note 2's keyboard. I hate the theme on the Note 4's stock keyboard. Wish I could just get a black one like Note 2 had, but might have to bite the bullet and install a 3rd party one.

Someone might have made a 3rd party "Note 2" style keyboard that would appease you.

Check the play store. Also, be sure to look at the Amazon App Store daily. Every day they give you a free app that's usually worth $.99 -> $4.99
Last month they had a special blowout where they gave away $125 in apps. It's worth checking, even if you won't use most of them. It's nice randomly getting a freebie you might enjoy.
Here's a link to what they gave away.Best Free Android Apps: $125 worth of paid Android apps now free | BGR

So it's time to replace my Galaxy Nexus. I don't want anything too huge. I've been eyeballing the Sony Xperia X3 Compact. Has anyone had any experiences with this phone?

Swiftkey is amazing. You just need some time with it. It learns your common vocabulary / writing style and is pretty accurate after it has established some baseline of info. Also, if you mistype by not hitting the key dead center, it also learns if you commonly press the key off-center. You can go into the settings and actually see a type of "heat-map" of where you have been pressing the keys on the screen.

Couldn't recommend the app any higher!
