Maybe. There aren't a lot of sub 5" options. Between the issues I had with my last Samsung and the Alpha not stacking up the Z3C is the best choice. I tend to take pretty good care of my phones anyways so hopefully it holds up.
But the Z3 and Z3C were developing cracks spontaneously. No drops. Phone being babied. Nothing. Has to do with the glass Sony used and the temperature fluctuations (gaming on it causing the phone to get warm, then set it down on a countertop that's cold = instant crack). Just looking out for you bro. One or two people with that issue and it's no big deal. An entire forum and its a problem.

The Samsung s6 is looking like an incredible phone. Love that its coming with wireless charging built in. Custom ram.. Custom processor.. Samsung finally realized they are a hardware company and to leverage that.

was really hoping they'd toss in some waterproofing to compete w/ samsung. still rocking my M7, friend has an M8 and i'm just a little jelly of it. really want water proof (at least splash or falling into a cup holder that has water/condensation) though..

Wut do? My phone is long since out of contract (I managed to get my RAZR MAXX (orig) a few weeks before Verizon killed off contract renewals with unlimited data). I pay ~140/mo for unlimited everything, of which I use 1-2GB data a month typically, but it does spike higher.

Unfortunately mobile devices simply can't keep up 2 years out anymore, with recent updates and apps it breaks the back of my MAXX. It seems like I have to figure out if unlimited data is worth the extra $900/yr give or take figuring $50/extra a month for the plan and $300 every year for annualized replacement phone cost give or take. I don't use that much of it that often, but I like never connecting to wifi when I'm out.

Thinking ahead though, as happened with 3G->4G, I'm kind of expecting Verizon to have a 5 year (or less) plan to kill off 4G unlimited plans as well. When 5G comes out, I would bet many monies that the 4G unlimited plans will not work on 5G phones and you will be forced to capitulate.

So, yea. *shrug*. I think it's more feels that I don't want to give up my grandfathered plan vs. actual logic at this point but...

EDIT: of course I'm thinking in the long term competition will eventually bring back 'effectively' unlimited plans on verizon with rate limits past some arbitrary high point too

$140 a month for one phone is crazy. You need to shop around, that grandfathered one isn't doing you any favors. I pay $220 a month for unlimited everything on 4 phones with sprint, and thats a grandfathered plan that still gets me subsidized phones as well. $55 per line.

Just glancing at Verizons site, you can get a plan with subsidized phones and 4GB of data per month for $100, it sounds like 4GB would have you well covered if you typically use 1-2GB

That right there would save you almost $500 per year

Well it's really $119 plus charges/bullshit.

I can drop it another $20 no prob reducing unl talk/text though, which I'll probably do, which makes it same price just unl data instead of talk/text.

EDIT: yea, just cut it down to $95 by removing some excessive stuff I really don't need anymore. Plus, if I have a heavy phone month (like right now trying to buy a house) I can put the talk up to whatever then drop it down again.

M8 in tests has been pretty much waterproof, FYI - anything light is nothing to worry about considering it's survived some hour (or maybe even longer) submersion tests.

Ya mine is similar to joes, ~230 after taxes and fees for 5 lines with unlimited text and data on sprint, shared pool of 1600 minutes which we never come close to using. Kinda sucks that they got rid of it, but the iPhone plan through them is pretty damn good too.

T-Mobile has an unlimited everything plan for $80/month:Cell Phone Plans | Cheap Cell Phone Plans Unlimited Data | T-Mobile

But you could just go ahead and use the $60/month with 3GB at 4G. That plan includes data rollover, so you're fine even during months when you use more data.

That saves you $720 per year, or $1,440 every two years. That's plenty of money to buy new phones with.

Look at T-Mobile's family plans. 5 lines with unlimited everything is $140/month. Over 2 years, that saves you $2,160. (edit: oh, that was with unlimited data on only one of the accounts. But presumably not everyone uses more than 5GB per month...)

I'm not sure what the big deal with grandfathered unlimited plans is. Most people who have it, don't seem to use anywhere near 5GB even. And holding on to it because it might become more valuable in the future is crazy: the carrier can stop offering it at any time, and will do so when it actually does become worthwhile.

I loved the M8. I wish I could have the same phone with a larger screen. It is SO much fucking snappier than my Note 4. And you can root it. Unfortunately it also has a horseshit camera unless you're dealing in low-light.

Once you factor in the ~$450ish per line every 2 years of phone subsidy (plus unlimited data for every line), sprint is still better. Of course that depends on your area and each carriers coverage. And I assume the $140 is before taxes and fees? My number is after.

And 2 of my lines have about 5gb already with 15 days left in the billing cycle

Just reading about the new Samsung S6. I have to say I am disappointed.

One of the biggest plusses for me has always been the ability to add your own microSD card for dirt cheap. $30 for 64GB, etc. I am shocked they removed this feature as well as the non-removable battery. After a year or so, it was easy to throw in a cheap $10 replacement battery to negate the Li-ion degredation. It also doesn't seem to be water resistant anymore. While not a deal-breaker, it was a nice feature considering I drown my S4 on accident once.

They better offer this thing with tons of memory for cheap and promise the world on battery life / longevity.

Isn't it supposed to be the first phone to break $1000?

Not heard that. I thought they went with their own Samsung processors (vs old 3rd party snapdragon) to shave down costs?

Considering the S5 only cost $650 on release, there's no god damn way they increased the price by >50% while removing 3 of it's main features.

That would be an absolute deal breaker for me!

I own a HTC M7 that I really like. I owned 4 different Iphones before it. I'm very satisfied about my M7, battery is still ok but I can feel the lag a tiny bit since the last update. I will probably get the M9.

I still think that the M7 is the best looking phone ever made. Quality wise it as been really tough, nothing broke on it ever while all my friends Iphones had to be repaired at one point(mostly dead buttons)

The M9 has a sim card and a better camera and to me that's all i really wants. I also think the M9 come with 2 year of 100 gig dropbox free storage.(not sure)
