Gonna skip this generation of google phones. I'm not hating on the offerings; I just don't think it's a substantial enough increase over my 5x. Am increasingly interested in the smart home type of stuff being offered, but not enough to jump in.

I just noticed that preordering the Pixel gets you the Daydream headset as well. Makes me feel a bit better about about giving in and ordering it.

Just was able to mess around with the new Pixel XL, felt flimsy compared to my 6P.

Yeah not sure that is worth upgrading the 5X right now. If I was power using and needed more space, better camera, etc maybe. But not at the price.

I guess the only enticing part would be since it is offered through Verizon would Fi now work on Verizon as well? It has always been the better carrier around here and I took some noticeable hits on the switch where I work and in the house

Even going the 2-yr route on paying for an XL through Fi would see my wife and I paying less than half what we were/are under Sprint. My part of the plan ends next month, can't wait.

I pre-ordered the 32 Pixel to goto Fi from AT&T. My Galaxy S4 served me well enough for all these years lol

AT&T officially announced they're ceasing sales of the Note 7 effective immediately. Word from VZW is we've pulled all inventory as well and reverted our promo for the Note 7 to the Note 5. Samsung is ruined at this point.

Kinda wondering if they'll retire the Note brand at this point.

Samsung has reportedly stopped production of the N7.

Samsung still has an enormous amount of talent and the capital and infrastructure to whether this. They'll be back to dominate the android market.

Anyone with Google Fi know how to customize/edit your caller ID name?

with Sprint they had a section of their website where you could edit how your nam/number showed up on Caller ID, but I haven't found that function yet on the Google Fi site. Anyone seen it anywhere?

It's one model phone of many. This issue seems related to the Note 7 only, and more specifically affecting models with 1 of their 2 battery suppliers. I am perfectly happy with my Galaxy S7, which is unaffected. I think Samsung will get by just fine.

BTW Agraza Agraza .. done with Storm Haven emu?

Did that work on just Sprint to Sprint calls? I can't imagine all the carriers caring or using what Sprint thinks your Caller ID name should be. I might log in to Fi support and get a chat going and see if they know. It sounds interesting if possible though.

speaking of Samsung, don't buy the Galaxy s7. it's a piece of shit. i got it at launch and the battery is so bad at this point that I have to charge it at least twice a day. wish this fucking thing would catch on fire so I could get something that isn't shit.
