If you don't mind the $$$, there is still a Moto Z2 (top tier Z line handset) that will hit the market later this year with the new Snapdragon 845 (X20) modem.

What's a good non-streaming music player? Google's app has been doing weird things to my music, making it sound tinny and muffled. This happened frequently on my Nexus 5 after disconnecting from my car's bluetooth, but now it's happening on my S8+ and it hasn't been anywhere near bluetooth.

Anyone with an HTC u11 got some feedback now it's a month after launch? Just became available on my carrier.

I'm leaning towards this, never been a fan of Touchwiz on Samsung, don't expect to like the latest incarnation.

Have been waiting a couple months to pull the trigger on a newer phone already, don't want to wait any longer.

So my two year contract is up next month, and it looks like my grandfathered Verizon plan is finally going to die. Opinions on the S8+ versus waiting for the next Note?? Right now Bestbuy is offering $200 dollars off the S8+ leading to a lease of 24.99 a month, which is pretty sweet. GF has an S8 which she likes, but isn't crazy about. I'm currently rocking an S6. Kinda bummed I missed out on the promotions for a free Samsung 360 Camera, etc.

I feel like waiting for the Note may pay off just to get the next round of new promotions to push sales, which may be substantial for the Note to rectify the bad image from last years fiasco.

I'd wait for the note personally. Worst case they will slash the price of the S8+ if you don't like it.

After six months there is new tech that everyone is all hyped about. I've had a Moto E1 (4 Gb total storage minus the OS that leaves 2.14 GB) for three years. Just recently purchased the Moto G5 Plus with 4GB ram putting aside the 64 GB internal storage that I'll never use more than 20 GB personally. With all that said, don't buy into the hype unless you will use the stuff you're buying.

Anyone else have issues with their phone disconnecting from wifi while asleep? Keep wifi awake while sleeping is enabled. Both my Nexus 5 and S8 are doing this. Which would point to my router but the same thing happens at work. I'm almost always in airplane mode with wifi enabled.

I get that sometimes when I get close to a Brighthouse WiFi beacon out here where any other WiFi is screwy and then my S8+ gives up trying to do WiFi until I do a hard reset. Once I set my phone to ignore Brighthouse beacons it went away though.

Perhaps there's something like that in your area with another bad WiFi near work and home?

I wish I knew more about Wi-Fi & Hot-spots.
I get texts from my supplier telling me to turn on my Wi-Fi to save my data but I can never connect to a data source.

Wanted an HP Elite X3 for a long time, now that it's $499 I can't seem to pull the trigger on a 1-2 y/o phone. I hate always wanting newer stuff.
