iOS 7 took me a little over a week to get used to, but I can't go back now. I keep asking my wife if she wants me to upgrade her phone, but she won't budge. Too much change, I guess.

My fianc? is like that, just like other people, when it comes to any sort of change. She would rather hang on to her phone until it falls apart rather than deal with change and relearning how to use her phone, even if it meant getting a far better experience. But in this case at least you can say ios may be better, it may not be better, but we can certainly say it isn't a FAR better experience.

Just got my white (lol) Note 3, so far a really nice phone, just going through the gigantic tedium that is making everything the exact way I like it.

Christ, has the Galaxy Note always been $150 more than the regular Galaxy phone? I was thinking about a Note 3, but on Sprint the Note 3 is $350 with a contract renewal, whereas the Galaxy S4 is $200. I didn't realize there was that drastic of a price difference. Guess I'll definitely wait to see what the Nexus 5 looks like, it might be the same price off-contract as the Note is on-contract. That's nuts.

It comes out on the 9th for Verizon.

I just got it and just started playing with it and I like it so far, howver I can't seem to find the stupid icon for Gmail and I'm forced to use the widget for the moment, which I don't want to do. lol

Once I get a feel for it and get it synced with everything I'll start posting thoughts.

Edit: I found it, it's hidden in the Google Bundle icon.

The Sprint Note 3 is not triband, which is a bummer. Although, by the time they get 850 going, the Note 4 will be out.

Your post is misleading. The phone isn't $50, they're essentially giving you $50 off to spend in their store. Unless I'm missing something.
Quite often this is the case except in this instance it's said you can use the $50 gift card towards the iPhone purchase.

Which completely punches Wal-Mart in the cunt. We used to give gift cards for all phones except iPhone at their Connection Center, about a year ago that all changed, except the gift card can only be used in a Wal-Mart and not towards the phone. Wal-Mart is simply dropping the price to $45 w/ no gift card.

I think Google Now is cool, but it is for some reason convinced that my "home" is at a place 60 miles from my house that I have never actually visited. When I try to put my address in it tells me that it is not a valid address. Not a real serious problem, but it's weird to look at my phone as I am laying in my own bed and it says "1:11 to home".
You can change your places manually in Google Now settings. It's pretty good actually... it guessed where I go to school and work pretty easily and tells me if there's traffic.

First early impressions so far.

The screen is far and above the most beautiful screen on a phone I've ever seen. It's very responsive and able to pick up your touch with your finger not even touching it. In my eyes it's the best screen of any phone I've worked with.

When I open up an app, it's open. Now. There's no waiting. Unless the app has pages set there purposely while it loads like many games will. Those aside it will instantly load into an app with no issues. I enjoy the multi task ability it has with apps as well, the screen size and the way they have it set up compared to the previous notes make it look and feel less clunky.

Camera is pretty crisp, I've not taken too many photos with it but the ones I have seem pretty nice and the focus is improved over what was my S3. It's instant from when you push the photo button to when it takes the photo as well, which is nice as my S3 for some reason at times would go completely out of focus then refocus at random when I took pictures sometimes.

I got the phone at 3pm on Friday and didn't have to put it on the charger until Saturday night around 10pm. This time frame included light to moderate phone useage and heavy browsing and light game play.

While I haven't played music or watched video on it yet, it seems my normal ring tones I had from my previous phone aren't as loud on this. It may be because of the speaker location. On the Note 3 it's located on the bottom of the phone next to the charging port as opposed to the back ph the phone. I always set my phone screen side down (case protected the screen) with the speaker facing up so it was easier to hear it ring I suppose. It's definitely louder while holding it though compared to my old and most phones.

I wasn't aware the charging cable wasn't micro USB...though the large phone, that makes sense I guess. Stinks I'll have to buy 1 or two more chargers for it eventually.

Will post more as I use it more and will answer any questions about it you guys post.

Yeah, but when I try to put in my address it tells me that it's not valid. I don't really care and I don't blame them for not being able to figure it out because I live way out in the sticks but I wish it would just stop trying.

What do you guys think about the Nexus 5 specs leak? Looks like it picks up a lot where the 4 fell off...
