Disney is still transitioning from obnoxiously woke 24/7 back to covertly woke 24/7. All their good faith is gone. Just out the door. They need to start over again making good old fashioned movies for several years building word of mouth and changing out the current woke bosses for people who are center politically whose only interests are making wholesome family oriented films without harmful messages for children. You're not exactly wrong but it's not the same either.
First, it dives into the origin of Snow White more, focusing on her parents. Second, the love interest was changed. Instead of Prince charming, it's the bandit leader. Snow White's motivation, I guess, isn't romantic true love, it's being a "leader" literally a "boss bitch". They replaced some of the songs and completely removed others. Dopey "finds his voice" literally instead of remaining silent for the entirety of the film. Ending is a direct conflict with the Queen, resulting in the Queens demise.
