'The Uruguayan's 16th goal of the season took him past the total for the whole Spurs side when he found the bottom corner from Jordan Henderson's flick.'

Spent all morning Xmas shopping - Neki, you alright dude? From the sounds of it, it was a total mauling. Tough to see AVB getting through this after spending so much in the summer. Been a strange season - Pool/City could go top on Xmas, and Arsenal could end up 6th by the turn of the year. If Arsenal had managed to get Suarez over the summer instead of (or even with!) Ozil, the league would be wrapped up already imo. Love Ozil, but Suarez is having a Ballon D'or type season so far, and its only fucking December. With Koscielny and Aguero out (for god knows how long), things could get very interesting very quickly. Swings and roundabouts upcoming for everyone I reckon.

Liverpool was in second place on the table before Suarez came back from suspension. It's not like they are completely dependent on the man.

Also, if Suarez keeps playing like this and stays away from trouble, his pricetag will be in Bale territory. Should be able to get some very solid replacements with that kind of money.

Liverpool don't really have any backup, if he decides to go. Sturridge might be playing well, but there is no one to fill his spot, if his form dips or he gets injured again.

He's not getting sold in January and if we do make CL there is an arguement that could be made for him to stay. As noted Bale is a perfect example in that truly world class players really have no price tag as you can't buy that level of play as a replacement. I for one welcome our Uruguayan overlord.

Arsenal/Bayern, Barca/City. Fucking hell. Think City actually has a fair shot in their tie, while Arsenal are out. I know that both sides were unhappy drawing these English teams.

AVB OUT. Ha.

Without knowing who picked the signings between Levy, AVB and Baldini it's hard to assign blame as on the whole their signings have been utter shit. I'd favor Paulinho to come through but where the fuck is Lamela? Granted that doesn't mean you have to play a retardedly high defensive line when it's clear its going to get torn to shreds such as yesterday with Dawson basically shitting his pants anytime he was near Suarez while Capoue was somehow even more clueless.

ManC/Barca will be interesting as you'd have to say on current form it's going to be whoever loses by the smallest amount on their away leg. ManU getting basically a pass on this round as Olympiakos is supposedly losing their best scorer in January, they'll get crushed in the QF but just making it to that round will suffice for another year of Moyes as the descent into shittiness continues

Whoever was going to take over SAF was never going to match winning the PL, and I still predict top 4 finish (points situation isn't that bad). The finances are also steadily improving with the debt reduction going very well, gone are the days where they had to pay ?72m a year on interest alone - it's down to around ?20m at the moment. The revenues from commercial sources and sponsorship are steadily increasing at a faster rate than the rivals and the BT/Uefa TV money will finally close the gap on the La Ligas severely unfair Madrid/Barca revenue stream also. So what? Well, it's enough to pay the wages of Rooney from going to CFC for example and continue to acquire any expensive talent.

Jose has looked like a half dead stoner since he's arrived back at Chelsea. Sunderland! Altidore was AGAIN fucking terrible.
