LOL, the Moyesiah just keeps giving. He needs to last through the transfer window at least, we can't have anybody competent spending money now.

The downside to leaving Moyes in charge for another transfer is that he'll probably spend 30m on Baines, and that might allow Everton to strengthen their push on a top4 spot!

It's certainly debatable whether Walcott is part of Arsenal's best starting XI but it certainly hurts not having him as an option. Sucks for him but in the bigger picture I think this is a pretty big blow for Arsenal as I don't see them adding anybody in January.

Who are they going to add that isn't CL tied and would be good? The Diego Costa stuff is bullshit fantasy so yeah, lets hear it.

perhaps a bid of 40,000,002 for suarez?

Doubt they could get a world class striker, but they might be able to snag someone like Remy or Lambert. I also wonder if maybe Benteke might be woth a punt. His value has probably dropped since last season but his lack of scoring this season probably has more to do with the team being shit.

Feel gutted for Feo.... he was playing really well and staking his claim for Brazil (though I think he was in regardless of his form this year). Sucks more for Arsenal than for England though - not sure Arsenal have a lot of options in January. Costa may leave AM in the summer, but there is no chance he leaves now. Heard plenty of rumors for guys like Remy, Pato, Lavezzi, etc - none sound great and not sure how much better they are than Bendtner to be honest (though all are better than nothing). We'll see - I actually liked how the team set up and looked Saturday without a #9. Wish Draxler was available now, but even if he was there is no way we'd stump up 40m for someone that young/unproven... That is my personal dream signing anyway. What will probably happen is someone like Morata on loan, or Berbs for 2-3m.

Welp, Moyes needs to stop this shit or he'll get fired before he's turned ManU into Everton. Losing at Sunderland, dear god.

He's making them even worse. Every time I've seen them play, it looks so disjointed between midfield-attack. Not to mention the only plan they seem to have is get it wide and across.

I've seen at least 3 statistical models that shows ManU with about a 20% chance for top 4 as things stand right now. That's worse than both Everton and Tottenham. It would take a turnaround of almost epic proportions considering their current record vs. the top 8 for them to actually make CL at this point.

Edit: And yeah, that Messi guy is pretty good. Good to see him back.

Edit2: This one is even worse, good read though unless you're a ManU fan that takes a Republican like stance on numbers.

Fuck I'm rolling right now.

Golem effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The golem effect is a psychological phenomenon in which lower expectations placed upon individuals either by supervisors or the individual themselves lead to poorer performance by the individual. This effect is mostly seen and studied in educational and organizational environments. It can also be seen in sport, the perfect example being on show at Salford, where Gollum himself is currently destroying Manchester United. It's beautiful. It is a form of self-fulfilling prophecy.

Bullet dodged.I must admit I nearly asked you for an avatar bet whether or not United would finish above LFC but waited on the Tottenham result!
This is the month where truly the most staunch United fan would be a little tested... What's left? The return to fitness from RVP who has been sorely missed - the player considered 'winning the title' last season for United and also Rooney who timed his seasonal injury at a poor window. He's now had a couple of weeks to sit in the stands, drink beer and watch the team fall about themselves in midfield and I really hope he's going to play with the same level of determination that has afforded him player of the month last. Hope they can get back together and string a couple of results together against the top teams just to shake things up - stats be damned if a team suffers an implosion of form. At least finish 5th and have the gall to prod at whoever is on 4th.

As for Moyes in or out... several fibres in my body really want to scream OUT but it's mostly emotion based on recent poor performances. But he shouldn't take ALL the blame so far given the injuries and the lack of him getting the players he wanted over summer. Shouldn't he be allowed to at least shape the team in his vision? Come the end of the season - you'll guarantee some exits from Ferdinand, Anderson, maybe Giggs will be 'asked' to retire, maybe 1 or 2 others. United finances are in the best shape they have been since the takeover - except for the prospect of losing out on CL money and prestige that comes with it, although balanced by new revenues from BT & new international rights. If Rooney kicks up another fuss.. and actually leaves... if RVP sees this is not what he wanted and leaves... if Ed Woodward the new chief fucks up the summer transfers again (Hi Thiago/Fabregas/Baines/Contrao/Ozil/) and is forced to spend >?10m more than he should for a ?15m player such as Fellaini just to look like he's actually doing something...

Well Rooney has decided to Holiday instead of play according to Moyes this morning. Not sure how well that is going to work out.

The ref really let A. Madrid and Barca play, was a bit unusual for a La Liga game in how fast paced it was.
