It goes along with the rest of the Arse team, spineless. At least the fans are getting a laugh out of it for now though:http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/...erpool-reveals

As a Young Boys fan living in Bern, all I could do was shake my head. Nothing we aren't used to though, no title here since 1986 and in a 10 team league you figure the capital city of the country would win once or twice per 20 years. It seems the premiere league does not hold a candle to the swiss super league when it comes to own goal:
Naturally the headline is misleading since it was that he wanted to live in London and not that he didn't want to live in Liverpool. It could just as easily been written as Alexis didn't want to live on the moon.http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/...erpool-reveals

This is nothing new in any sports. There's a reason why players like playing in NY and LA too.Naturally the headline is misleading since it was that he wanted to live in London and not that he didn't want to live in Liverpool. It could just as easily been written as Alexis didn't want to live on the moon.
But the question probably warrents a comment from Arsenal fans more. Do they want a player who has chosen their club based on their city? Possible he's valued their night clubs or shopping or wife's hair dressing options more than what they club itself is offering.
I somehow doubt that is reassuring to any barcode fan. Pardew having 6 more years of relegation battles in him and Ashley being a cheap fuck is probably the bigger issue.
Can't imagine anyone would choose to live in Liverpool, or indeed anywhere in the country other than London (with money of course).Naturally the headline is misleading since it was that he wanted to live in London and not that he didn't want to live in Liverpool. It could just as easily been written as Alexis didn't want to live on the moon.

Fucking hell, you Brits have to subscribe to both Sky and BT to watch your footie? There's 64m people in the UK yet only 7m subscribe to Sky and less than 5m to BT? LOL. Though that just further confirms that any ManC fan arguing that their commercial revenue should be on par with ManU or LFC is just smoking crack. Hello fake business contracts from the Sheikh's family.....Yeah, I had a quick look and they generate pretty a pretty average match day revenue. They've got a 52k stadium (and average 50k attendance) which is one of the biggest around, but it's a great fan service to keep it down in an expensive market.
Other fun stats from today:United/LFC top tv chartsas one would expect - there's a funny table at the bottom which would be a bit more Spanish style modelling, crazy money.
We can't watch televised 3pm kickoffs due to some rule in place to protect attendance of the lower leagues. Thats why we have the early/late kickoffs televised plus Sunday/Monday games, Used to always be on a Saturday. The coverage you get on NBC? sports is crazy compared to the absolute shit coverage we get, watch anygame you want. I end up streaming most games I want to see since the coverage is garbage here, fuck paying ?75 a month for a sky package to watch a handful of games.Fucking hell, you Brits have to subscribe to both Sky and BT to watch your footie?
