Only people that like MLS are masochists and Americans who think they can make it as popular as MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL. It's fucking awful. My brother went to the Galaxy vs ManU match last night, and I just couldn't. I told him for weeks the Red Devils could show up drunk and win 10 nil. I don't even think the top MLS teams could compete Football League Two, let alone 1 or Championship. So, I like soccer. I've always liked soccer, but cannot for the life of me enjoy MLS. The matches just don't interest me as much as European matches do. So, I've decided to make an effort to watch the EPL since I discovered NBCSN airs matches in the U.S. Anyone have any input on choosing a team to support? I've done a lot of reading on the teams, but it's difficult. Should I just watch a lot of matches and "let the team choose me"? I don't want to jump on any bandwagons, but also don't want to support a lost cause that fights relegation frequently.
Thoughts?

My dad likes going to Dodger games and bringing my two young daughters along with me. It costs a shit load of money and they spend the whole game just wondering where the beach ball is and if it's coming our way while eating a crap load of overpriced junk food. I convinced him to instead get tickets for a Galaxy game since my girls play youth Soccer, it costs way less and they were into the game the whole time. That's about all the MLS is good for in my mind.Only people that like MLS are masochists and Americans who think they can make it as popular as MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL. It's fucking awful. Sorry, I hate MLS. Ranting now.
Yeah, I know I'm a complete cunt when it comes to MLS. I just hate it in the same way I hate AAA/AA/A baseball fans. Los Doyers is expensive, true. But since you're out here you know there's fucktards that pay half as much to see the Quakes or Lake Elsinore's team as Angels tickets cost.My dad likes going to Dodger games and bringing my two young daughters along with me. You know the MLS is bad when even United can go 90 minutes without getting scored on
Yeah, I read a lot of articles about being a new fan of the Premier League, and they all seemed to agree that Arsenal, ManU, ManCity, and Chelsea were the biggest bandwagon teams for new fans to support. From all the stuff I have read about the clubs lately, I am thinking about either Everton or Liverpool.New RR soccer fan bros are all about Arsenal.
This was from my write-up of all the contending EPL teams in the World Cup thread. If it's between Everton and Liverpool there really is no choice:Yeah, I read a lot of articles about being a new fan of the Premier League, and they all seemed to agree that Arsenal, ManU, ManCity, and Chelsea were the biggest bandwagon teams for new fans to support. Brando_sl said:Everton - Called the Toffees, they have a long history of being 2nd best to Liverpool in everything. Their current owner is Bill Kenwright who made his money as a theatre and play producer and scrounges for pennies every year just to pay the bills. They're currently coached by Roberto Martinez who's thought of as a young and bright coach on his way up, unfortunately for Everton he'll be moving on to better pastures next year. They are located in Liverpool, their home stadium is a wood barn called Goodison which is seperated by about a mile from Anfield and their biggest rival is Liverpool. Their best player is Tim Howard as Ross Barkley will be sold to Manchester United before he ever realizes his potential.
Liverpool - Have no nickname, they are the 2nd most successful team in England behind Manchester United as they haven't won a league title since 1989. They're currently owned by Fenway Sports Group who own the Boston Red Sox, this is actually somewhat fitting as Boston and Liverpool share a lot of similarities. FSG is currently trying to turn around the club which were almost bankrupted by the previous American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillette. Currently led by Brendan Rodgers who most feel is one of the best young coaches in the world, he has the team play a very attacking style of football with a young and improving team. The team is located in Liverpool which is 20 miles from Manchester in the Northwest of England, they play at Anfied which is about to be expanded and their main rival is Manchester United. Their best player is Luis Suarez who when not biting people is trying to transfer to Spain to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
