So...No man, I'm following your logic with this one. If he's that easily convinced to blow up his game, it can be done again. We just have to bring forth the right number of fried cheese.

Seems like a great way to get your playerbase really pissed off at you.Cutting in-game support to a minimum for EQ/EQ2:
DAYBREAK CONSTRICTS GAMEMASTERS IN EQ AND EQII
The new policy severely limits what gamemasters can do to correct what Daybreak is calling "simple gameplay errors" in EverQuest II.
What constitutes a simple gameplay error? Gamemasters will no longer be on call to fix deleted items, accidentally sold items, accidentally bought items, misloots, or accidental modifications of items. "Deleted characters will not be restored," Daybreak warns, so "feel free to re-roll a new character."
Of note, the studio says it will not "administrate a guild or intervene in guild management affairs in any way," meaning that if your guild leader disappears, you're out of luck: "If your guild leader is absent, please create a new guild of your own or find another guild on the server that meets your needs." Guild and character renames, the studio recommends, are to be handled with name change potions available in the cash shop.
You think this would be bigger news then on a website i never even heard until that link. then again i been out of the MMORPG loops for a long time.Seems like a great way to get your playerbase really pissed off at you.
They have been clueless for a while, Daybreak is just ending all pretense of them putting any real effort into helping their customers.Hopefully Daybreak is resold as quickly as possible to someone that has a clue of how to run existing everquest games.
The web is Massively.com (They closed the old website and Kickstarted with new link..about 1 month ago)You think this would be bigger news then on a website i never even heard until that link. then again i been out of the MMORPG loops for a long time.
EQ1 hired back one of the devs they let go, so hopefully positive things on that front......A bunch of little things happening in succession.
More larger changes to come?
Where would the correct place be in your opinion? EQ Next where they mismanaged the lore then fired all the senior leadership and have basically no apparent idea what there actually trying to build? A game now entering its fourth total design reset in the space of what four years?, and has not even reached alpha yet.Meh can't blame them for trying to put resources in the correct place. That was probably a decent expense. Whats this companies stance on cash shops?
1. Why would you have heard of that site before that link? It's a Kickstarter with a day left. You think this would be bigger news then on a website i never even heard until that link. then again i been out of the MMORPG loops for a long time.
With you on the first one; not sure why to do the second. They'll probably ask far too much for it than anyone is willing to pony up. In a way, it would be like trying to sell the IP rights to Radio Shack.Prediction: EQN gets released in half finished state, everquest IP gets auctioned off.
If they aren't busy asking "What's an Everquest?"2. How many people give a shit about EQ or EQ2 outside of this forum and the ones the players are on? Most people probably ask "That game is still running?" when they read that.
They are pro Cash Shop: "Guild and character renames, the studio recommends, are to be handled with name change potions available in the cash shop. "Meh can't blame them for trying to put resources in the correct place. That was probably a decent expense. Whats this companies stance on cash shops?
