They have a really good universe to work with, but unfortunately they have to keep going back to the Force nonsense, usually to appease Jedi-fags and other fans that expect it too much. I hope it does well, and somehow encourages them to branch out into the genre more instead of relying on Jedi/Sith + Empire/Rebellion.

Han Solo already has a back story. A big part of me feels this is/was Lucas story to tell. Anything else is just a bunch of bullshit 40 years after the fact to make a few bucks.
And I liked the Last Jedi because my wife and kids loved it. Before I could open my mouth to say what the fuck? They were raving about it. So I shut my mouth and even tell them I liked it. I think our generation is a bunch of assholes sometimes.

Meh, hate on me all you want, nefags, but I enjoyed every fucking Star wars movie to this date. Prequels, sequels, new ones, they are all godd IMO. Some better than others, some worse, but all watchable and enjoyable. Sometimes you jsut have to suspend disbelief, take off your "critic" meta glasses and just watch movies like youre a kid again.

There's parts I can enjoy from all of the movies. There's no avoiding that a lot of Episode 1-3 (mostly 1 and 2) isn't very good. Just as there's no avoiding the huge plot issues in 8, and the lack of any coherent feel from 7 into 8.

This trailer reinforced how much I do not want to see a Han Solo back story film. I would love more stories in the Star Wars Universe...just wish they would leave the OT alone and stop fucking with the established characters and move on.

Do they? All the expanded universe shit has been decanoned. There's potential, but I don't think Star Wars has done a good job at all building their settings.
