The dialog in the speeches seemed a little off to me too, like he was slipping out of "Spartacus talk" for a minute. I'd have to go back and re-watch to be sure, but I had that impression when I first saw them.

maybe i misunderstood the scene with Ceasars with no horse. i took it as Tiberious was just being a dickhead and took his horse away so he could lead the charge.

Not a big fan of the ass rape scene personally, Caesar is too damn likeable as a character to enjoy watching him get raped. Also I didnt actually mind the Crixus speech with spartacus, was better imo than the battle speech, looks like im in a minority on that one though.

Also, I never read about Tiberius in real life? He doesnt seem tobe in any literature concerning Crassus. I wonder if the show just made him up to add another character to the mix, but one way or the other he is going to die before seasons end.

I did some wiki reading and Crassus had two sons, Publius and Marcus (Jr.) From the wiki :"with Roman naming conventions, the eldest son almost always carries on his father's name, including the praenomen, or first name"

I assume they changed his name to avoid confusing viewers by having two Marcus's. And I'm almost certain everything Tiberius does is made up. And while I have zero probs with the liberties the writers take with history, the fictional raping of Caesar was, in my opinion, completely unnecessary and added nothing to the show. ( And, seriously? Tiberius rapes Caesar, kills Agron with a random blow, not even a fight, and takes out Crixus?? Bullshit.) But, fuck it, this has been the best series ever and I will fucking miss it when it's gone.
