Finally watched this (for free), came here to point out how completely blatant of a trans metaphor this is with the colors and the things she's saying. Tons of subliminal messaging with this movie.

...then I get here and find everyone talking about the colors already. Lawl. Yeah it was pretty obvious, not surprised everyone saw it.

Found the movie to be pretty entertaining and extremely creative. Take the ham-fisted messaging/allegories out of it and you have a high-quality production here. Lots of easter eggs that I didn't get, but I imagine long-time Spidey fans got a lot out of this. Having Peter be a dad (and be in an actual healthy relationship) was nice.

Finally got around to this, it's okay but not nearly as good as the first movie. Animation still bothers my brain but at least it's different I guess.

That said I thought Spiderman 2099 should have wiped the floor with them. I haven't read/followed the comics for a while now so I might be wrong. Wasn't 2099 spiderman the most powerful with tech on top of it?

He was maybe my favorite spiderman in that movie. Not sure what angle they're going to go with.

What was the reason Cage wanted to switch to TV and quit movies? Its odd that he's such a nerd but doesn't come off like Henry Cavill does

Movie wasn't bad, can't say I agree with it being better than the first. The first one was unexpectedly good. It's hard not to cringe and groan at all the pandering they tossed in for no reason. Still decent storyline concepts and worth the watch just didn't hit like the first.
So Mr hug them all. Honest question. How do you cross the Rubicon to like this movie with a pregnant American Inventor qwane spider woman.

fuck part one movies that release a part two like 5 years later

it really drags my interest in this movie down a lot, never rewatched it and zero interest since it ends on basically a cliffhanger

I've had this discussion with a few people and they just end up staring at me like I'm stupid. Am I stupid or just bad at explaining my point(not exclusive, I know)?

Spiderman and fate/destiny/predestination/whatever feels antithetical. I thought a core tenet of the character is that he thought he could have done something to prevent the tragedy, usually the death of Uncle Ben. Raging against that poor decision is what informs many of his choices later. Thus, a bunch of Spidermen forcing a would-be Spiderman to experience that tragedy against their will undermines that character.
