Few things I found at my parents today in no particular order. Lot of older stuff he had graded I never realized but most it is PSA 5 or less, I didn't take many pics of that stuff, maybe next time.

Nice mix of stuff there! That Barry Sanders Score RC is one I regret selling my PSA 10 of. Set is know to be printed on super soft stock, and has a handful of really good rookies in it.

Always been a BGS/BVG fanboy, as I think their case is the best, sub grades important to show why a card graded as it did. PSA jumped out as the favorite I think due to new money over the past few years. One company I never have used, but seems to be gaining popularity SGC. They have been grading now since 1998, and some of their 10's are starting to gain value against PSA and BGS similar grades. Decided to give them a shot with my next sub, since they are grading at a pretty fair price and seem to be hitting turnaround times or coming close to.

Just want to mention that I had a huge basketball card collection as a kid (from the 1990-1994 span of time specifically). I mean flawless mint-condition cards for all kinds of guys, tons of cards for the Dream Team members specifically, etc.

...and I haven't been able to find it for the last several years. A huge amount of my stuff got thrown out during a big move I did a few years ago, stuff that I thought was just boxes of papers and old obsolete stuff. Had to move on short notice and left a lot of that stuff after quick looks through to make sure there was nothing important. It all got thrown out. Well, ever since then, I haven't been able to find my basketball card portfolio.

Not sure if it's actually gone or if it's hidden away in one of the numerous boxes of toys I still have in storage, I'd give it 50/50 odds.

I wonder what a full book of mint condition basketball cards from the early 90's, of every imaginable superstar of the 80's and early 90's, would be worth today. I estimate there were around 400 cards in the portfolio.

Unfortunately not a lot of value inside that date range. There are some key rookies to look for, insert sets(especially Jordan). Outside that, cards at that time were printed into oblivion, so even though they are 30+ years old, they aren't worth a ton. Your common Jordans are between $1-$5 for the most part, but there are some more rare ones, like insert sets that can fetch good money.

If you do ever find them, feel free to post them here, PM etc. Happy to let you know if you do have a rare gem for sure.

Don't compare yours to this bCCg card, as they are the "collectors" wing of the BCG company. This card graded for investment by any reputable company is in the 5-6 range by the edges and corner condition.

It was pristine as I remember. I was actively collecting and it went straight into plastic cover. I was starving and $20 bought a lot of ramen noodles from the walgreens 10 cents per ramen pack bin!

i was a pretty big baseball card collector for the 5 or so years when it was the trend back in the 80s. i still have all my valuable cards as well as my uncle's card collection from the 50s-early 70s, then a million new companies started springing up making their own cards and i could no longer keep up. i liked it better when it was just Fleer and Topps. then DonRuss, then Bowman, then Score, then Sportflics, then i stopped collecting. i tried to go in reverse and collect older cards like Old Judge and fuck me those were expensive just for commons. havent been into this since 92. are the older cards jumping in value or just the newer ones? last i checked the old stuff has been steady.
