Kaiju No. 8 has a movie that'll be in theaters next Monday. I'll take my daughter to go see it.
And when you say JP dub... dubbed to English? Or do you want Japanese language with English subtitles?

Zatsu Tabi - That's Journey - Girl is an manga author. She's bored with life and decides to go on a journey. She asks social media which direction she should go, and they choose north. I like the "realistic" animation style. I don't mean CGI stuff, it's clearly animation, but the scenery just looks like animated versions of pictures. The story doesn't really go anywhere in the first episode, but it's peaceful and calming. The narrator also gives information about the places she travels to, such as what the places represent. Pretty much like a tour guide.
Summer Pockets - Male version of Zatsu Tabi. A grandmother dies, so the grandson goes to visit her house and see if he needs to settle the estate. There's a woman & her young daughter that currently live there, because the grandmother wanted it. Nothing big happened in the episode, but I like the pacing. It's another slice of life peaceful show.

Second season wasn't a cliffhanger but the story was far from over. Season wrapped up with some training scenes iirc.

They encounter a girl who is Adolla linked like Shinra but are too overzealous trying to recruit her (and maybe she was a little rotten to begin with) and end up driving her to join the White Clad, they travel outside of Tokyo and encounter a former associate of the Evangelist who is able to bestow a second of Adolla's Grace upon Shinra so he can tap back into the power he used to fight Sho at the end of season 1 and destroy a horned infernal, the White Clad unleash a horned infernal on Asakusa and Benimaru is able to destroy it.
Also I believe there's the implication (but only to the viewer?) that the Evangelist is either connected to the power source that fuels all of Tokyo or maybe even is the power source.

Solo Leveling season 2 is one of the most over-hyped things I've ever watched. Yall were in here (or the other thread I guess) talking it up so much that I was half expecting a complementary blowjob while I was watching it. It was fine but aside from the heart-warming payoff of saving his mother I thought the first season was much better. It's just another overpowered protagonist show and while I grant that the show actually earned it with the foundation it built in season 1, it's kind of retarded that he's that much more powerful than every other S rank. It was already fucking stupid for the ant king to be so powerful that it butchers S ranks effortlessly but to then be absolutely no threat to Jinwoo was absurd.

Almost every story follows the strongest hero, whatever that means. Given that every storyline hasn't presented in exactly the same order as the books I'm not sure how it'll go next season. Going forward the storyline starts to make more sense.

Fire Force is surprisingly detailed for a shonen. The setting seems fairly deep and Shinra's creepy ptsd smile is a funny (but sad) quirk of the character.

Not most, but all, including Beru. I do agree that S2 was a bit over hyped, especially the animation. Nothing in S2 surpassed the Igris fight in S1 or the dramatic use of music during Jinwoos fight against those 6 other Hunters that he killed. I have high hopes for S3 considering what happens.

To counter Gavin, I think it did everything that type of show is supposed to do extremely well. For a season 2, it was top notch. It provided almost constant action, great animation especially during the fights, extreme powerups of the antagonist, some building of the storyline, and a solid finish that left you wanting another season. It's story isn't as strong as the manga and the Beru fight could have lasted longer but that's just nitpicking common issues with anime.

I am guessing that this season was mostly setup. Show how much stronger he's been able to get because he can actually level up, introduce a new baddie that is way stronger than other S ranks, have him annihilate it. The payoff to that being the new big bads that showed up at the end, that can speak and can travel between dimensions at will and his father making their real appearances next season. Presumably the new threats will be strong enough that he is legitimately in danger again and his father probably has a similar ability to his which he inherited.
