Yeah, but Variise posts interesting things from time to time. If, that is, you're interested in the game. You know, the game this thread is about? All you, and several others in this thread really seem to do is complain, either about the game or Variise. We get it, you're skeptical. Most of us are as well, to a lesser (or greater) degree.

I just happened to think I could provide information that seemed to be missing here. Anyone that tries to do this is going to be attacked and that's fine. But I'm not going to keep doing it if it's an obvious waste of my time. While I have an obvious vested interest I still haven't heard a single reasonable complaint about what exactly I have ever wrote that would constitute shilling or falsehood. I do this because I'm bored and haven't settled into another game to play yet and SC is a long way off from being complete otherwise I wouldn't be here. I don't come here to troll, thread crap or shitpost and have never done so.

So have your polls, move this thread, close it or continue the insults I don't really give a shit anymore. I'm just going to ignore it. If someone genuinely wants an honest opinion based on knowledge about the game instead of just their opinion based on virtually nothing then ask me outright here and I will do my very best to answer. If you have ADHD or trolling don't bother asking me anything. I will answer in my own way and provide as much information and insight as I can. If you care to read it that's fine. If not that's fine too.

Just found out today that EVE: Valkyrie is Oculus Rift only on launch and for the foreseeable future.

I thought it was coming for the PS4? The news today was that it was being bundled with the rift. And other games will be bundled too.

Where was this confirmed? All I could find was a brief saying that it would release with Oculus, but expand to others later.

Yes. Not sure what else it has but it centers around dogfighting. It might have some kind of stat system.

I know this game was originally (before it went VR) going to bridge with EVE to offer a combat system for EVE in a different game or something. But that got nixed at some point. I'm sure an EVE player would know more.


People generally say that the combat is a lot of fun in Valkyrie, so hopefully SC looks at it for inspiration. A big success will also prompt more effort toward including VR support into SC, but Valkyrie is just one slice of the pie in the consumer VR wave coming next year.

I told you guys like 30 pages ago the Eve Valkyrie was VR only.

It was a tech demo by 5 eve dudes who kickstarted Occulus Rift. It was so well received they decided to make it into a full game. It's pure dogfighting with stats and upgrade system. It is the greatest dogfighting game ever made, period. The only games that could even compete with it on that front, will be future games that are VR only.

It was always VR Only. It was never going to be anything other than VR only.

The only thing they expanded it to was Sony's VR platform. It was never meant to bridge eve combat or whatever nonsense you just posted. You should stop believing everything Variise says, guys.
