Bitch if you have been thinking about Trek music, specifically the work of both Alexander Courage and Jerry Goldsmith since you were a kid and throughout the entire formative part of your composing career then you would have undoubtedly come up with a few riffs here and there over the years when thinking about the score. You sure as shit wouldn't have gone into it with milquetoast measures with callback bookends.
