Then why are you or he comparing it? Compare it when it's released.

Also that's not the insult you think it is anymore. Especially in this thread.

A released bad game is bad forever and Battlefront is a shit sandwich.
In 10 years I hope your right.

Actually I was pointing to the fact about "millions of people easily taken by pretty pictures , trailers and marketing" but boy variise got defensive of his Cult(cough shill cough) fast. The irony of insulting people who bought this game(I dunno maybe they think its FUN) and yet defending SC, where people pay for the "promise" of a game.

I chuckle at UT. "Fuck EA in the Ass" yet he had EA early access(which is a monthly sub) and still paid for this game(even if it was a discount). So you gave EA money twice. Did you lose another "Bet"? You'd think with the fanatical hatred you have for EA, you would never give them a penny.

Game is what it is. It's pretty fun, not enough depth though for me, needs more customization options for characters and guns. Granted it plays almost exactly like the other battlefront games, so maybe they didn't want to venture too far from that, I dunno. Would of loved for some more modes. Something like a "All heroes map would be hilarious". 20 Bobba/Emperor/Darth Vader vs 20 Luke/Leia/Han would of been hilariously fun.

I do agree though with current DLC tactics used by almost every game developer these days. Why release XX with the game when we can charge for it later!

call of duty black ops 3 is $39.99 today at gamestop and amazon, so price cuts have nothing to do with popularity since blops 3 is the fastest selling video game of the past 2 years and was released 4 days before battlefront. but yeah battlefront's price cut is pretty unprecedented, its $39.99 again this week at gamestop and they are throwing in a free kyo ren doll, but usually those kind of campaigns are setup weeks or months in advance and I doubt its a reaction to sales so far, just trying to ride the movie hype wave.

i did get into some bad hero vs villain games last night though, if people start quitting the game can go on forever since if you don't wipe out the other side in 5 mins its a draw, so you end up with these bizarre match point games going on forever, I think we went 9-9 before finally one side won. Got 12k points though which was nice, i guess? just so many weird things like that in the game, where little things just ruin the whole thing. that and people not dealing with com link stations in walker assault (either attack or defend them) just sucks out all the fun.

Walker Assault was fun but after an hour or so you get over the dazzling graphics and you start to try to figure out the game mechanics and you realize there aren't any.

You need an incentive to go and help your comrades. Ok but how. How can you do that when there is no squad system and no way to direct forces in any way. You get very seldom audio queues on what to do and unless you already played the game for a while or watched others who are semi-competent it's meaningless banter. You end up with people randomly running around with no aim other than racking up kills.

Maybe if the game gave you an incentive to move along and re-arranged spawns (already does this to some extent in the new map) as the battle progresses it wouldn't be so bad. But for that you need larger maps. Much larger maps with interesting places to go and visit. Just so there is an ebb and flow to the battle. If there is no leader to direct forces then add more visual and audio queues to direct people around the map. You can even force transport people towards the next target when they get on a speeder or whatever transport to get around large maps as beach heads open up.

I don't think any of this will exist in the current game. Maybe in the next one. Now that they established the team to build the Star Wars Battlefront EA games and basically made people pay up to twice the price of a full AAA game for a glorified demo they can come in and claim the next game will have this or that feature and how Earth shattering news it is. Basic features that should have been in this game. It's like going to buy a top end car and finding out that all of the top end features like engine, suspension, breaks, construction etc. are all fake and you have to push start the POS plastic toy you bought. But hey it's a Ferrari.

People will continue to eat this turd directly out of EA's ass because of the IP.

I didn't give EA shit. 4.99 to see for myself the game wasn't worth 60 and then buying it used for 19 when it was mismarked at Best Buy as battlefield 4, means EA got jack shit from me. Come on Cinge. You are smarter than that.

Ut you have set the precedence long before this game. You can spin it any way you want but you always do this

I'm smart. There is no spinning it. I know exactly how to fuck the publishers that deserve to be fucked. EA saw 4.99 from me. And that's all they got with this pile of shit.

That's not how retail works... EA got 1 copy bought from you. Because Best Buy had already paid them the wholesale price for that 1 copy. You stunted Best Buy, not EA, although Best Buy is an equally shitty company so still well done I guess.

On the Black Ops III bit, yea it's a good comparison. Blops was available for $40 to pre-order in several places at several times though, which I don't think BF was? I could be mistaken, I didn't look very hard. So in a way it's more of a cave-in on price since it hadn't been previously available for that level of discount.

The BF copy I bought was used, not new. EA didn't see a penny.

I bought Blops3 and I wish I never did. But bought it to play with my kids. The multiplayer in that game is shit. The TTK is like .3 seconds, maybe good for sweaty ass teens and pre teens, but my old ass takes .8 seconds to scope in usually so that leaves me out. Plus the movement is wonky, its hard to see enemies, its just shit especially coming from Destiny where everything is buttery smooth good TTK that allows you to react and shit. The zombies and that little arcade game is cool though.

I skipped the last one but COD has some serious issues with their netcode and exploitation. Number of shots to kill varies rather dramatically depending on your latency and people can and do exploit this for advantage. If you have a great connection, believe it or not, you're at a disadvantage.

It's actually fair to compare these 2 full price AAA games. One has a underrated and fun campaign 20 hours worth of actually thought-out coop content, several different multiplayer modes, easter egg mini games (that arcade shooter is dope), and a community for competetive gameplay. The other is Battlefront Star Wars.

I'm just glad they shot themselves in the foot by letting people play the beta. The hype died really quickly thanks to that.

I really do wonder what they were thinking by having that very public beta test. Sure it has become something of a marketing null hypothesis that if you don't have a public test or embargo your reviews then the game is terrible...but I think they might have been much better off keeping things under wraps under the broader umbrella of Star Wars secrecy.
