So a few places I saw that Rey isn't the main character in the new movies. I have a friend who is still selling me on Filoni and Favreau are trying to fix what happened. About the only way that would work is if Luke had a secret love child and that child saves her messed up jedi order from certain doom and its revealed she's not really a skywalker.

That's not gonna happen. LaQuisha, Jedi Twerker is coming. Kathleen Kennedy is still in charge.

They can't get Mara Jade past the story group so I doubt Luke will have the kids. Word is Filoni isn't going to advocate for Mara Jade and nobody else at the Story Group is either. It'll be Rey/Kylo if they go that route.

The Mundi family was a Cerean family from Cerea. Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi was the most famous member of the family. Due to the low Cerean birthrate, he was allowed by the other Jedi to follow the Cerean custom of polygamous marriage—he had four honor wives and seven daughters. The entire family was killed during the Battle of Cerea; Ki-Adi himself died when Order 66 was issued during the Battle of Mygeeto.

Guess what. Still Legends and not canon.

wasnt Anakin a Jedi? i dont understand the politics, if you have force powers, you arent allowed to have kids? who says so and do you get a fine or something? how do you get more Jedis if you dont breed them? the Jedis are pretty fucking dumb. probably for the best they didnt survive Order 66 (except for all the other Jedi who survived it)

Yes, I was too caught up in the Gaylord joke to notice I was rattling off the wrong kids, obviously I meant Ben Skywalker.

There are dozens of examples of Jedi having kids/family but Dickshaw correctly points out that they're all legends now, even Mundi whom I had been quite sure was canon. All we have left in canon is Jacen Syndulla and Ben Solo. Kanan died without knowing Hera was pregnant so we don't know what his position on fatherhood would have been, and Ben can be handwaved away by Leia never actually being a Jedi.

A) yes Jedi are allowed to have offspring. You weren't allowed to have a family but you could fuck your way around the galaxy as much as you wanted.

B) Anakin's attachment to Padme is literally how Palpatine was able to turn him to the dark side and wipe out the Jedi Order, so they weren't exactly wrong to forbid attachment.

Attachment goes against the Jedi code. Which was why Anakin was hiding it. He would have been thrown out of the Order. Jedi don't have to procreate to make more Jedi. You are born force sensitive or you aren't.
