so new rumor, the next mando season is only going to be 6 episodes and the movie will the conclusion

don't know if that means it is going to be a full on movie or going to do like the inhumans and have it in theaters for a couple of weeks before being on tv.

There are rumors the movies are a trilogy too.

New details disclosed on sequel trilogy Kylo Ren story arc.

Lucas Film/Disney (Iger personally wrote most of the reshoots to ROS) muscled JJ off his original plan for Kylo Ren, leaving people with no real villain and a big lump of shit sans any real big bad.

Save for Emperor faggot being shoehorned into Ep 9. And now we know why.

you know that Abrams wasn't the original choice to direct Ep 3 right? And he was only brought in after they sacked the original dude and ditched his concept/ideas?

Go back further though, and you'll find he was on more of a "wait and see" to do more movies while he was writing TFA. Before pre-production even began.

You can say JJ wasn't "supposed" to do any more movies officially-- but the intent was there before things soured.

JJ was personally involved in the planning stage for this trilogy. This is before TFA pre-production changed his mind on doing anything else.

Before anything was filmed for TFA, JJ had already signaled 0 interest in doing another movie. He came back for ROS as a favor to Disney, because he had assurance he'd be dealing with execs committee essentially. No more Lucas Film story group shenanigans. JJ used this freedom to write and film a movie that Iger felt was subpar-- citing the Matt Smith character as someone nobody cared about or knew who he was. Royal Royal went near-skeleton it seems, but he'd back up JJ's TFA fallout with the story group being well-sourced.

Iger's comments indicate that JJ was a critical part of trilogy planning.

It would be easier for everyone if you just say up front that you're making it all up

If your "source" is the shit you just posted, then no it's not saying that

It puts him in the room, and at the scene of the birth of the sequel trilogy.

He has writing credit on TFA.

I guess it was just a one-off. You're right.

JJ had nothing to do with the future of Star Wars outside of the plot for the stand-alone one-off TFA movie he worked on.

You heard it here first folks.

England was a huge part in JJ's availability for more movies.

There are several reasons why J.J. Abrams only agreed to do one Star Wars film:
  • Directing a film is hard work, especially a blockbuster like this. After losing the battle against filming The Force Awakens in England (he didn't want to have to move his family there during filming), he understandably wanted to take a break.
  • Disney wanted to release a Star Wars "saga" film every two years, and there was no way Abrams could have handled both projects when the post-production of one overlapped with the pre-production of the other. In fact, the workload for The Force Awakens was so heavy, its opening was delayed from Star War's traditional May opening month to December.

Regarding the ROS filming schedule:

ROS had to be edited on the fly during filming.

JJ knew this would be the case-- having already worked on TFA, which had been delayed from the traditional Star Wars release date due to workload.
