Meh, I don't really think they'll do a reboot, either. That's cause no matter who directs it, I ain't goin' to see shit that has the name Star Wars on it. I didn't go out and watch whatever the last movie was called, I ain't going out to see this shit. They've completely fucked up the SW universe.

Say what you will about the prequels. At least they made sense in the lore of the universe. This shit? Ugh. Don't get me started.

I agree for the most part, but considering they have circled the wagons (they being the woke crowd) and her ideology, I could see a desire to purge anything Abrams down the memory hole since he has been the strongest opposition to her. And Kennedy is by all accounts an epic level vindictive cunt, threatening to burn down the entire studio publicly if they sacked her recently. All it would take is one good #metoo-ing to line up the mob and Disney would cave. I mean they got a probable pedo re-instated. Pretty sure if the woke mob wants something bad enough, they can make even the Mouse bend the kneee.

The Phantom Menace is watchable (just mute when Jar Jar is on screen, generally), has some good stuff.
After that, TFA, Rogue One, Solo have some entertainment value. Skip anything else.

Fuck ROtJ and them dumb ass worthless Ewoks, god damn stupidest shit ever.
The dialog is TFM is just total shit, not even Liam Neeson and Ewan Mcgregor could save that shit.
As for the rest, just having a cool scene or two in them doesnt make them a good movie...Vader wrecking shit at the end of R1 was bad ass, one of the best scenes in any Star Wars movie ever, but the movie wasnt good. It was boring ass shit that just drug on for 6 hours

I doubt they'll retcon, they can just pretty much ignore it. Move the timeline forward and minimize or remove all reference to the events of the sequels, or move the timeline backward to a time before the prequels and you don't have to deal with it at all.

They can continue telling stories set after return of the jedi to just before the prequels, there's a 40+ years of a gap to tell tons of stories in without acknowledging the sequels.

i think you misunderstand, the rumor isnt about a reboot of the sequels and pretending the disney sequels didnt ever happen. the rumor is that the sequels happened, but in another dimension. these actual sequels are gonna be different. splitting hairs? sure.
